I'll have to agree with AK on this one.....the teams coaching/performance in Januarys NFCC game.

John Kasay missing all of his PA's and field goals in the regular season game against Philly in '03 was a close second.

Being a recent fan, It is most definitely the chris gambel kickoff return pass to richard marshall. It culminated the entire disappointment of that 06 season.

My second nominee would be Foster's toss play reverse where he ran backwards for 10 yards then coughed up the football. I get the biggest laugh now but at the time I was going bat crazy.

Gotta agree with you there. I'm sure there have been worse football plays (missed tackles, blown assignments, and certainly Jake's interceptions) but Kasay's kick out of bounds had the biggest impact that any single play has ever had on this franchise. I will always appreciate Kasay for what he's done for this franchise - he's won a lot of games for us and that's obvious. But I will remember that play for the rest of my life.

At the same time, I credit that moment for being a breakthrough in my own anger management. I threw the pint glass that was in my hand, and unfortunately the trajectory of said glass led to a ruptured screen on my nearly brand new 48-inch TV. To this day, I keep a roll of toilet paper by my side during key games. It's probably saved me a few thousands bucks and countless hours repairing holes in the wall.

Fred Lane celebrating like he won the Super Bowl when he scored a TD against the Jets when we were down by about 40 points comes to mind.

Couple of other ones I just thought of were when Brett Favre threw Dan Morgan down on a blitz which I believe gave him his first serious injury as a pro and when Peppers was blocked to the turf in 2007 when matched up against MAURICE JONES-DREW.

Oh and then there was the 4th and long that the Bengals faced against us in 2006 when Chris Gamble didn't even make an attempt on the ball that Chad Johnson caught basically without any challenge from a defender.

And then there was the Matt Willig penalty in 2004 that directly cost us a game. And, in that same vein, there was Smitty losing his mind against the Texans and kicking a dude when it looked like we were going to have the game wrapped up in '03.
