Where can I buy cheap CD's?

most banks have really low cd's...

Seriously is there still any companies like BMG remember the 12cd's for a penny deals.

You had to pay shipping on all those, which turned out to be more than $3 apiece, and you had to agree to buy so many at full club price during the year, which was like $19.99 + shipping, lol...

Yeah the $3 per is more than I really want to spend, I was thinking around $1 each. Up where I went to school there was a salvation army and a thrift shop that would sell them for .50 or $1 each. This was years ago, when CD's were still relatively popular, and digital hadn't really come into its own.

I rarely listen to music on the radio, and discovered that I just pretty much listen to what I grew up with as a teenager, up through high school and into college. New music just doesn't appeal to me. I was going to restart my CD collection, solely to rip the CD's to a high quality digital format. Bonus of having the CD, is nobody can say it was stolen/downloaded online. I was thinking probably around 1,000 CD's + would be what I ended up with.

Just wanted to find a place that sold cheap, with a big selection. Could buy a couple hundred at a time. I did the Napster/Bearshare/Limewire thing back in school (hadn't done it in years). Just seems to risky now IMO.

Oh and thanks everyone for all the suggestions above!
