Chris Paul Trade Discussion

It would have been Bynum' date=' picks and some expiring contracts Orlando could move for picks/young players. The salary they were saving in the original deal was to create a trade exception so they could take back Hedo's atrocious contract along with Howard. It basically would have gone down just like the Melo deal where he said send me to L.A. or I walk and you get nothing...[/quote']

Ohhhhhh, the trade exception would be very important. Still, if you're Orlando I feel like you could get a better deal from the Nets or Bulls or somebody. Unless Howard comes out and says "I wont re-sign with anyone but the Lakers," won't somebody come in with a better offer?

No offense to Melo, but he's no Dwight Howard.

Hollinger said West to Boston would effectively kill a CP3 to Lakers deal pretty much due to salaries not being able to match.

JO will be moved, already been confirmed by Y! sports....

WojYahooNBA is reporting O'Neal is getting moved to another team.

so no it wouldn't kill the deal...

A. Sherrod Blakely:Spoke with a source close to #Celtics Jermaine O'Neal who said if he were to be traded to the #Hornets, JO would "never make it there."

Looks like this may be the old junk that L.A. has to take back to keep them in luxury tax land...

lmao@Laker fans in thread. Why yall wanna be Miami so bad? Everybody wants their Big 3 now. The same ones who trashed LeBron for goin to MIA now openly admiting 33 year old Kobe needs another superstar to carry him back to the Finals? Lol@Dan Gilbert putting a monkey wrench in this. At least yall concede your team as is has no shot at a title.

lmao@Laker fans in thread. Why yall wanna be Miami so bad? Everybody wants their Big 2 now. The same ones who trashed LeBron for goin to MIA now openly admiting 33 year old Kobe needs another superstar to carry him back to the Finals? Lol@Dan Gilbert putting a monkey wrench in this. At least yall concede your team as is has no shot at a title.

Chris Bosh doesn't count, but as I have said I think Wade and Lebron are the two best players right now so its an incredible big 2.

Kobe + Paul + Howard is a better combination of skills and more of a big 3

I've been a supporter of the big 3 and a Laker/Kobe hater for awhile (Though I have great respect for Kobe I am not a fan). But The lakers all ready sort of had their big 3 plus....you can say Kobe/LBJ... Wade/Gasol... Bynum/Bosh... Then add Lamar, Mecca World Peace... So they had stars, I think they are just looking to go younger and more traditional style with the triangle and Phil gone. I don't believe their moves are miami motivated at all.
