these threads are for the oblivious. its been apparent that cam has been a top 5 qb this year regardless of category you speak of (except wins). this "oh cam is so good" realization every week is getting old.

Cam is legit. And hes a panther. Realize it, love it, accept it. total qbr rating thread not necessary for persuading

Cam is nowhere near top 5.

"lol".... best response ever trd. i mean ever.

How do you respond to someone who throws facts and evidence out the window and responds based on their own subjective opinion without any evidence or supporting detail?

You just say "lol" and move on.

False(on both qutoes), and your stats have already been argued that they dont tell a complete story. I in fact said a true statement when I said Cam's production as much greater than Matts. Would you LOL like a little girl if I put Cams production per game vs Moores?

There are not 14 better QB's in the league than Cam, there arent even 8 better than him.

There's 14 other quarterbacks that are better in completion percentage.

There's 15 other quarterbacks that are better in QB rating.

There's 20-25 other quarterbacks that are better game managers at this point.

There's 25-28 other quarterbacks that are better at dissecting defenses and have more experience.

The only thing Cam Newton truly has over the rest is his rushing abilities. His yards category is a byproduct of a lot of other things(receivers, style of offense, being down in games which calls for more passing attempts, lots of garbage time yards, etc). And that part goes for all quarterbacks.

That's why for quarterbacks it's better to look at completion percentage and overall passer rating. If there was an easy way to look at it, checking their avg per attempt, completion ratio, and rating to everyone except their #1 receiver, would be a great way to rank QB's. Manning, Brady, Brees and Rodgers wouldn't change rankings much. But a lot of the middle of the pack guys, would. For example, Steve Smith does a lot to help Cam Newton's passing yardage, completion percentage, and long bombs. Much more than most other receivers do for their quarterbacks. What you don't have in this league is 10 guys like Steve Smith. You might have 3-5.

LOL......funny how haters only apply logic one way. B/c of the scheme Carolian runs and the throws he is asked to make.....it isn't as friendly of a scheme to pad a completion % as other QBs may be in. For example, Sam Bradford last year in St. Louis.

also, Cam has had the lead in the majority of his starts....had had the lead late in most games. Yet your troll logic tries to pawn it off as garbage time. LOL.....

And you are another example of throwing around labels instead of debating the point. Our offensive style is based off of Air Coryell.

It is VERY much suited to help Cam Newton's completion percentage. I know you don't actually take the time to do what I do, but go on and check his QB rating, pass completion % on plays form under center versus those taken out of the shotgun/pistol position.

His completion % benefits from the style of offense we run. You have it backwards, as usual. If Cam Newton was asked to take snaps from under center consistently you would get a lot more throws off his back foot. His timing is non-existent which is a pretty big deal for a quarterback. When you take snaps from under center, you use your drop back steps to practice precise timing. When you are in shotgun, you are standing in place a lot of times, scanning the field and releasing the ball before you get sacked.

He would crash outside of this style offense, playing in an NFL style offense, at this point in his professional career. The Air Coryell offense takes a lot of pressure of the quarterback doing complex mechanics.

It has a very complex offensive scheme as a whole, but what a QB actually does to throw the ball, is much simpler.
