Newton’s Total QBR was 91.7. That was even higher than Drew Brees, who usually tops the division’s quarterbacks. Brees’ Total QBR was 84.7, good for fourth in the league. But Newton ranked third behind only Tom Brady (93.6) and Aaron Rodgers (92.4). The scores also included the Thursday night game.

wtf is the point of the Total QBR? It's irrelevant. The QB Rating has been used league wide for years now, and it's an accepted form of statistics... Then there's this, which seems like ESPN can generate a random number, and people believe it.

The problem was, it wasn't an accepted form of statistics.

It's pretty close between them. Imagine that in only his rookie season he is practically the same quality passer as a five year veteran stud like Matt Moore is ...then add in his rushing yards and TD's

wow.

Too bad this does account for rushing and TDs...but carry on being uninformed.
