I apologize for my earlier thread.

I think it's an awesome gesture that she gave the ball back and she definitely has a great memory to hang on to. I hope that the Panthers organization takes good care of her!

GSQ, I saw your thread this morning! (Her Mom actually pointed it out to me) I have to admit I was pretty pissed and didnt response immediately because I didnt know what to say, how to react without coming off as an A hole. Guess you could say I was speechless and stunned. However, on the other side of that, is that she is my daughter and she is only 16 and as a parent I still have to protect her. Im glad they removed that thread, and Im glad you came back to apologize.

It was in very poor taste on my part and I didn't represent myself, this message board and the Panthers as I should have. It was a juvenile attempt of comedy at best. I think that it is awesome that your daughter got such an experience, I bet she was more than thrilled. I truley hope that you enjoy your stay on the Huddle!

FYI......

Katie has a live ON AIR radio interview tomorrow morning at 9:30 am. The radio station is 99.3 FM/1110 AM out of Charlotte. Its the "Keith Larson Show" and it will be live. For my friends in NC, please pass this along and listen if you get this station. If you dont get the station and are out of the area, I was told to go to www.wbt.com and listen live to the show via the stream. You may want to go there and practice getting the show now so you have no issuses in the AM. :) Pretty cool stuff for Katie! This Station is the Flag Ship station for the Carolina Panthers and covers their games.

I also wanted to point out, that I fully respect and support Katies decision to return the ball. What she said about the ball belonging to Cam and he deserved it because it was his acompolishment.... thats Katie. She would do it all over again. That speaks volumes about her character. Not only is she an awesome person and wonderful daughter, but she also is a great student. She makes honor roll, takes some honors and AP classes BUT she also volenteers her time as a cheer coach/ student demonstrator for our local youth Pop Warner team (West Pasco Prowlers) for younger girls. I also coach FB in that same organization. Katie also helps out with the Special Olympics at her school and is several other groups. She is a positive mentor and role model! Myself and her mom are so proud of her!

She has a pretty awesome brother as well (Noah), who is 11 and looks up to Katie. He can be seen in several of the photos and videos that are going around. He is the blonde kid, with the black "Bucs" shirt on.

FYI...... I hate the bucs :)

What an awesome story.....can't wait to see what the 'care package' will be.......maybe tickets and airfare to Charlotte for the Tampa game on the 24th?

And a meet and greet with Cam?

Guaranteed she meets Cam personally at some point. I'd imagine tickets for the Christmas Eve game are also probably going to be done. If they're smart, anyway. That ball is worth a LOT. If I were her, I'd be ecstatic to just meet Cam, have a flight to and from Charlotte, and get to see the Panthers play in BoA. Talk about the best day ever...that'd do it.

As a father, I'd go to the next PTA meeting with a shirt that said "Father of the Year" on the front with "That's how it's done, dads!" on the back. Just sayin'. It's an idea. lol

How about just getting some super cool free Panthers stuff and being able to say for the rest of your life you were the one that was given that ball that is now in the HOF

We are orginally from VA. We will be in Va for Christmas, so it isnt to far fetched of an Idea!! :)
