I am pleasantly surprised by Newton

The reality was Dual threat College QB's don't make it in the NFL. Cam came in and told chud he wanted to be as good a QB as Philip Rivers is. The kid has really focused on trying to be a damn good thrower and it is paying off.

Sure he runs when he has to or its designed, you don't leave that talent chained up, but a QB in the NFL MUST try to throw first unless its a designed run and Cam is doing that. Over 3000 yards and over 61% completion rating, Wow. Hands down he is ROTY.

Lets just hope Hurney can find talent to not only go around him but for God's sake upgrade this Defense.

he wanted to trade down out of the first spot. didn't want anybody there, not even if it was Andrew Luck

close. I wanted Luck if he came out, but honestly I didn't want Cam. Odds were greatly against him succeeding in the NFL, but he has put forth an effort to be an NFL QB. I just hope he keeps progressing and I fully expect him to.

My question to u is, why would anyone go around comparing other QBs to someone with so many odds against him if what was being said about him was true? Cam never had any odds against him that were not created by the talking heads.

But it's all good because instead of resting on his accomplishments, Cam simply went out and prove many who want to believe everything they heard, wrong.

Ok, but I know you made a thread saying Luck wasn't the answer and we should trade back and take dalton. ;)
