another very interesting thing to keep in mind is that the Panthers have lost exactly one high calibre free agent drafted during the fox regime: Will Witherspoon. they haven't let anyone else walk. that's the only exception.

as long as there is a shred of hope that they can get peppers under contract, that will be their priority, as has been shown by the way they prioritize contracts.

Muhsin Muhammad ring any bells?

Oh my bad, but that impressive "accomplishment" of theirs can only be applied to three players. Using your criteria (high caliber players drafted under Fox that have been close to leaving), there's only been four: Gamble, Wharton, Spoon, Gross and the question is still out whether Gamble is high caliber or not.

So, uh, congrats to them? They were able to resign three of the four. My, my, how impressive.

Also, I remember very clearly that the Fox/Hurney groupies were praising them when they let Spoon leave because it was smart of them to not overpay for him. LOL!

Imagine if they let Morgan go instead....

Beason, Spoon, and Davis...

either beason or davis wouldn't have been drafted.

they should have signed spoon first because morgan apparently wanted to stay here anyway and no one was going to pony up that much for a walking concussion.

I think if the only person they kept was spoon then they would need a MLB and an OLB. Davis and Beason.

i'm guessing you weren't around here then?

i don't remember much of that but i do remember a lot of complaining about morgan being chosen over witherspoon...which wasn't a good idea.

we had to let one go and we chose poorly.

also, i know you're having to invent things to respond to because you can't argue your point with me, but i never called it an accomplishment, and i never called it impressive.

i was simply calling it as i see it.
