Moore Continues to Impress

How so?

Because he would have been a much better choice to play for a winning season this year and Cam Newton could have rode the bench until he was ready or beat Matt Moore for the job.

He would have either won the job and then we would have traded Moore fair and square for losing out, or he would have continued to ride the bench until he proved himself.

In the end I believe we'd have more than 4 wins and could be looking at making the playoffs like Fox and The Golden Calf of Bristol. Instead we're looking to next year. And personally I'm not confident about next year either in this system.

There's a philosophical and psychological issue with our team. The way its' built and run. The shaky foundation. It's made of cards at this point in time, not bricks.

You can only continue to keep using the we're young and learning excuse for so long. Sooner or later people will get impatient and see through it. We're 14 weeks into the season. It's almost over. This is the time when you're supposed to see some kind of glue come together and some kind of rhythm, momentum and team spirit that carries into the next season. Consistency. Progress.

We have none of that at this point in time. No answers, just more questions.

Nah I just don't think you understand what exactly, what qualities, I praise, respect and judge in a quarterback and leader.

I care about stats quite a bit, but they can all be rendered meaningless if you are missing other qualities not tracked by stats.

I would expect a Matt Moore fan to not value stats. Thats not an area he excels at. As a leader, what "playoff" runs has he led? As a 5 year vet, what is his defining moment/game that exemplifies his leadership qualities?

Yea, if we had resigned Moore instead of picking up Anderson he'd be right where Anderson is right now. Holding a clipboard after getting beat for the starting gig by the far superior QB - Cam Newton.

lol remember the people complaining about the "sham competition" between anderson/newton/clausen?

that would be x50 right now if matt was still on the team.

Matt Moore couldnt beat out Tommy Jone Jake & David Carr, got benched for Clausen, and couldnt beat out Henne. He'd have no chance against #1. Lets be real, Matt came out the womb holding a clipboard. The Panthers did him a favor letting him go when they did, sparing him the embarassment of getting beat out for his job by a rookie two years in a row after being given the keys to the franchise.

Pretty impossible since he didn't get beat out by a rookie last season.
