I have lived in Savannah and in Wilmington. I much prefer ILM.

There is a very small part of Savannah that is "touristy" but it gets old really quickly.

And lets don't forget the college scene, the better beaches, and tons more hotties in ILM.

I've also heard really good things about B&D Burgers which is in downtown Savannah. Voted best burger in Savannah and top 10 in the US.

Wilmington sucks, take it from someone who lived there for 20 years and was finally able to leave. Wrightsville beach is full of snooty ass holes and the cops there make it a habit to be pricks in order to make all the old money folks there happy as they chase out what they feel is the riff raff - not at all a welcoming destination

I've served in the area for 6 years. You can't go wrong with River Street. She'll love the whole city. It's the jewel of the South IMO

Then go to the Mtns. or to Montana. I have lived in both towns and think that ILM is a much better place to visit and live.
