Watch Morris Claiborne

All corners get beat, the guy has top 5 talent. He isn't coming in playing like Revis though. Thats ridiculous.

That statement right there proves why we dont need to draft him. If you pick top 5 you expect a guy to make an impact right away.

Seems to me like he's a poor man's Patrick Peterson. I don't see him as top 10 talent really... let alone top 5. In the top 5, we take BPA, plain and simple. In between 5-15 we take BPA at A position of need... Outside of 15 we should take BPA at the LARGEST position of need... Simply because I don't think there's a dominant DT in the first round of this draft... No Suh's, no Dareus', no dominant figure at the DT position. Pick a DT outside of 15, 'cause there isn't one higher than that...

CB's I think we're more solid there than a lot of people give us credit for.[/QUOTE]

That statement alone hurts your whole post. Have you watched a game this year?

I'm sorry but we have 1 starting CB on the roster. The rest (at best) are nickle and dime backs.

I see us getting another 2 wins (TB and last game against NO). If that is the case we might end up around the 10 spot. Really we could end up anywhere from 5-12. It is really hard to predict who we can get at those spots.

With that said, I would take a CB in the first because I think it will be the best match of needs and BPA. Could get Claiborne or Dre Kirkpatrick if we are closer to the 10 spot.

If we get over the 10th pick I wouldn't mind getting Zac Brown.

Claiborne would be a great pick because of his playmaking ability and being at least a solid number one cover corner for his career. Some people need to realize Darrell Revis doesnt grow on trees and there might not be anybody like him for a while so picking a DB high shouldnt have anything to do with if there gonna be is good as him. There are other great cornerbacks in the league not named Revis too. At least Claiborne has the POTENTIAL so that is good enough. His playmaking ability would be even more huge to this team because we dont have anybody in our secondary that gives us that and havent had it for a while. He has the ability to change games and reduce big plays that our secondary always seem to give up. Would be a great pick Top 5 or not.

Nooooo!! The people who think that are either morons or Blind. We need Cb, DT and OLB like fat girls need cake.

I really don't want a DT in the draft for the same reason I don't want another WR. We already have a young core there that isn't going anywhere because we don't know what their ceiling is. Fua and McClain aren't going anywhere and I think Neblett has played just as good or better than both of them. With Edwards, that is four DTs right there. I think if anything we should bring in a vet DT to compete with the young guys, but no need to make that position any younger.

I think its safe to say our positions of need for the draft go in this order:

1. Outside Line-Backer (Can not afford to rely on Davis anymore)

2. Cornerback (Get someone who can actually play beside Gamble)

3. Right Tackle (Get someone to replace Bell or Otah)

4. Saftey (Mediocre to bad saftey play this season, how else do we get beat on all these damn deep balls??)

5. Linebacker depth

6. Punt Returner

Key Points:

- Keep in mind that Jordan Gross, Travelle Wharton, Steve Smith, Geoff Hangartner, and Jermey Shockey are all starters that will be 30 or over in the upcoming season.

-We are ABSOLUTELY SET at WR, TE, RB, QB for a while now. Really dont need to waste any draft picks on any of these positions, unless there is some cant miss prospect there.

Oh I agree I want another Vet DT not a rookie. I only want OLB and CB in the draft maybe oline as well.
