Also, Tyrann Mathieu is 5'7. In fact, Vern Lunquist pointed it out in the pre-game, but people just want to overlook that. The guy is awesome, there's no doubt about it. But, at the next level, he's probably just going to be a great nickelback/special teams player.

Claiborne is ridiculous. Sure, he may have had ups and downs on the field today, but, there guy is legitimate. I'd say he's more legitimate, at a position of need, than either Blackmon or Jeffery, who play at a glamour position, in a draft full of WRs. (Seriously, Nick Toon, Ryan Broyles, Rueben Randall if he declares, Michael Floyd, Kendall Wright, etc.)

The defense desperately needs a boost. A guy who can come in, make an immediate impact, and play here for years. Claiborne is that type of guy. So is Dre Kirkpatrick (but Kirkpatrick is huge. If you think that Claiborne is too big for CB, I'd hate to see what y'all say about Kirkpatrick.) Janoris Jenkins is also a fantastic CB, but, he has documented off the field problems, and that would definitely be a reach.

There are like 11 teams 4-8 and and we can range from 4-11 at this moment. Right now I'd say Coples/Brown and a CB in the 2nd has more potential than Claiborne and some LB.

Coples will never be on my list he takes more plays off then JP with half the talent. Coples and Bust will be linked in a few years I promise.

All of that is true, but take Smitty out of this lineup (due to injury) and our receiving corps begins to look very, very suspect.

Like most, I would love a true playmaker on D. It just isn't clear there are any where we will probably pick.

My preference remains to trade down if possible.

Then you've have drafted 4 wr the last 2 years. Plus the 2 Te and RBs.

But fact is you can't plan to lose anybody. Injuries happen we have 5-6 wr on the roster sombody got to step up.

Laughing right back at ya kid. If he wants to go in the top 5 he needs to shut down whichever Georgia receiver lines up opposite him. It's as simple as that.

I thought Claiborne played a solid game overall, made up for a couple early mistakes with some great coverage later on.

Seems to me like he's a poor man's Patrick Peterson. I don't see him as top 10 talent really... let alone top 5. In the top 5, we take BPA, plain and simple. In between 5-15 we take BPA at A position of need... Outside of 15 we should take BPA at the LARGEST position of need... Simply because I don't think there's a dominant DT in the first round of this draft... No Suh's, no Dareus', no dominant figure at the DT position. Pick a DT outside of 15, 'cause there isn't one higher than that...

CB's I think we're more solid there than a lot of people give us credit for.
