Watch Morris Claiborne

Reaching for Claiborne at the position we are currently in would be a tragic mistake.

Would rather acquire a Janoris Jenkins who has superior coverage skills or an Alfonso Dennard in the second. We already have an abundance of youth at the CB position btw, for those of you who want to use that lame excuse as a reason not to address our porous DL.

It's not just youth, it's youth and what you have invested in them and what you think of them now... Butler and Captain may be "young" but neither of them are even close to #2 CBs, and both have had a couple years in this league so it's a bit silly to look at them the same way as our "porous DL." I would actually classify both Butler and Captain as "veteran depth" next year, and while I like both of them, neither of them seem like starters... and then there's Gamble, who is very good but aging. So we're left with Hogan, and I think that if he plays well or shows some promise, CB drops significantly as a need.

and let's be clear... our DL's problems come from the interior of our DL, where we are expecting to return a starter from injury to compliment two players who will have a full year of starting under their belt. Who exactly in this draft at DT is worth a top 5 pick? There's a real possibility Claiborne/Kirkpatrick top 5 wouldn't be the same kind of reach. I think we already have untested youth at DT, why not go for some more veteran depth?

FWIW, I'd rather have Kalil, but there are situations where I think drafting a CB is not only possible but a good decision. Janoris Jenkins in the 2nd looks nice too, but not sure he'd be there.
