IMO The Golden Calf of Bristol getting his 15 min. Bet the Broncos FO is frustrated...The Golden Calf of Bristol screwing them out of getting a franchise QB sooner rather than later.

The Golden Calf of Bristol is a good guy. He is not a good QB. His amazing few games will be a great memory for him. I think he will go the way of the Miami wildcat.

Wonder what Elway really thinks.

Pretty much.

they didn't score more than 24 with Orton, he certainly wasn't tearing it up and he was generating turnovers left and right too. I don't know how much of their losses were really his fault but the team was averaging 21 points in games he played in and 20 in games with The Golden Calf of Bristol. It may be that the 7 interceptions (and 2 lost fumbles) in 5 games allowed opponents to score more points. The only game the Broncos won with him was a game he didn't throw a pick. So it may be that is the key for that team.

Elway hates him, that much is pretty clear. Every time the cameras flash to the booth after The Golden Calf of Bristol does something positive he's always forcing a smile.

As for what I'd do if I was the Broncos FO - I'd fully commit to a switch to the spread option and draft a QB this year that can run it in case The Golden Calf of Bristol gets injured.

What they'll probably do is draft a conventional QB and slowly force The Golden Calf of Bristol out the second he stops winning - which is why I want him to continue to be successful.

Harvard statheads hope to bring math, logic to The Golden Calf of Bristol 'miracles'

According to the study, the offense under The Golden Calf of Bristol has actually regressed. The defense -- believed to be the major factor behind the victories -- has improved only slightly. It turns out the secret to The Golden Calf of Bristol's success has been the Broncos' ability to produce tangible results when it counts most.

On pace for more TD passes and less interceptions than one Sir Cameron Newton: Leader of Men, Lover of Puppies...Esquire

Yes, but Cam actual throws the ball in the air. Hence a greater chance of being intercepted. Tim throws his balls into the ground. Hence a greater chance of no one catching it except if they dive for it.

What I find so funny is, Fox couldn't do a darn thing with Kolb. He couldn't do a dare thing with Clausen. But now he has a QB who can't throw straight, he can work miracles...Go figure.

..Kolb?

Fox won with Delhomme and had a couple decent runs at the end of seasons with Moore. Who knows how last year would have went if Moore hadn't been injured

Probably has something to do with him HAVING to think out of the box. Fox can do that when he wants to, that's why he's so infuriating when he gets stale and mundane.

Sounds familiar, only in Carolina it's because offensive turnovers generally result in points for the other team as well as lost scoring opportunities.
