they say they are doing it to show they aren't afraid of controversy.

frankly, the more that is done to stop it and even having a poll fighting it only shows that they made the right call and strengthens their decision. you bring attention to it and fuel the fire they are counting on.

Ok I get picking Tim over Cam from a business standpoint but please enough with the "We r doing it to show fans we arn't scared of controversy!!!1" Stop acting like it's more than it is and just say he is the more popular topic right now and popularity sells magazines.

honesty only goes so far. you've got to spin it. they spun in effectively. it doesn't have to be 100% right or honest. it just has to sell.

i don't think it matters to him nor should it. the only thing he needs to be looking at for motivation is the team's record, his number of failed drives, his number of completions, and his number of turnovers. let him own it. i don't care if it's his fault or not. i want him to feel like it's on his shoulders and that he'll do whatever it takes to make all of those better.

i think the players should own this part of it. i'm sure they were excited for him getting that cover. knowing that it's largely their fault that they aren't getting the wins and that he isn't getting all the accolades i'm sure they feel he deserves should motivate those who aren't pulling their weight to start pulling it.

whatever it takes to make these guys strive for excellence i'm all for. i don't care if it's things that should or shouldn't matter.

you make it sound like i said it would or could be the motivator.

it can be a motivator and i don't doubt that it is something that some people on the team would notice or would think about.

they're proud of their QB. why wouldn't they want him to get as much attention as possible? why wouldn't some of them feel bad that he isn't getting more or that he is getting the blame for their losses? it's on all of their shoulders, but only one guy on the team gets the blame much of the time.
