Big Ben thinks Cam is NOT ROY

The only reason y'all back Cam is because he's a Panther. If he were a Seahawk with the same numbers and wins you wouldn't give a rats ass about him and back Dalton all the way.

Have you got your Dalton fathead on the wall yet or are you going to wrap it up and wait for Christmas?

Dalton is putting up a nice rookie season that he deserves props for, but he has no shot at winning OROY. If Cam doesnt get it, DeMarco Murray will. The Cam-Dalton debate reminds me of the ROY chase in the NBA in 2004. LeBron puts up a 20, 5, & 5 (that only two other rookies had done before) season but Cavs arent a playoff team. Melo puts up slightly less numbers but his more talented Nuggs make the playoffs. Guess who got ROY? Funny thing is, that year some folks tried to use Melo's teams success to say he was and would become a better player, like some are doing with Dalton. Its ironic.

2 different apples. Offensively Melo is better than Lebron. If Karl used him in better ways than just being a mid range post player, everybody would "really" see it

Dalton isn't no damn Melo

He is better and more fluid offensively, but overall Melo is no LeBron and has been out of the 1st round once in his career largely thanks to C Billups that year. Not saying Dalton is Melo, just an example that team success doesnt and shouldnt have much bearing on this award.

I think his off-the-charts statistics and record-breaking pace he's on is part of of it, too.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of his because he's our QB, but it would be hard for anyone to ignore his offensive production this year, given not only what many folks expected him to do (meaning he's exceeded the expectations of many), but also where he's brought this offense to today, based on where it was a season ago.

IDK. On First Take this morning Jay Crawford was hyping the segment between Dalton and Newton and said "...Dalton in Cincinnati and Newton in...in ...uh...uummm....Newton in Carolina." Without hype nobody knows about Carolina even with Cam Newton, unless he is putting up 400 yards.

on first take skip said dalton was better because his team is winning AND because he hasn't turned the ball over as much as newton.

Personally ROTY is not a team award, if cam newton was on another team and i cared enough to look at all the rookies so far this year, he would be a clear favorite... Taking the worst offense last year and making them a top 10 offense? and breaking almost every record record that isn't a team record ( most wins etc etc )

yeah no contest
