I used to get Vicodens for my back all the time. Friends would be like wow you got vikes, but I didn't see the appeal. I would take them when my back was killing me with a glass or two of wine and it was nighty night time for me.

Yeah. Prescript says I can take two every 4 hours, but I only took 1 at 6pm cause I thought the feeling was coming back into my foot (head off any pain/bone spur surgery).

I had a sore shoulder a few years ago, and got a prescription for Darvocets. Only Opiate pain reliever I have ever taken.

It made me feel like a young man. Got out and played basketball with my son, and played like I did when I was in my 20's. And didn't have a bit of soreness. Well, until the next morning that is. Then I hurt like hell.

I can see how it is easy to get addicted to the things when you are older.

I was taking some after my shoulder surgery last year... took double my dosage just to see... didn't do poo.

Vicodin is a hydrocodone-apap(tylenol) mixture. It's only a control III substance. You also gotta check the hydrocodone dosage.. 2.5/500 is like a tooth ache. 5/325 and up to 10/660 Hc/apap for body pains. Most people who get it can still function; Usually running on the line between dependence and addiction. You can still abuse it and get high.

It's when they move up to oxycodone and endocet and opana where you gotta be careful. Or even fentanyl patches though druggies don't like it cuz you can't get high, but its more effective.
