He's in his 11th season as a Panther. Remember that year one (2001), he was mainly a returner and only caught 10 balls that year. 2004 was the lost injury season, and we know about the Pickles debacle of 2010. So taking that into consideration, to hit the 10,000 yard milestone this weekend is huge accomplishment for Smitty.

Next year is when he's due for an extension, along with Stewart, and Martin also Hardy.

Smitty only needs 1,000 more yards to crack the top 25 list. If he plays 6 more seasons and averages 1,000 yards in each, he'll be in the top three. Smitty will never catch Rice though at 22K yards.
