Cam up for Rookie of the Week again...

Err yeah, in 2007 the Panther's were 2-1 in the games he played in at the end of the year.

I wont lie, when it comes to meaningless football games Moore is money. When the kitchen is cool the guy shines and plays loose. But when it gets hot in that kitchen...Lol. The guy balls up like a wet paper bag. If it were only possible for a team to start the season eliminated from playoff contention Moore would lead them to the Super Bowl.

Cam as a rookie>>>Moore as a 5 year vet

When your play warrants you being with 2 #1 overalls and you were picked for simply #5, it's a steal if I ever saw one.

We are looking at possibly the greatest returner the game has ever seen AND the greatest corner the game has ever seen. Can you really put a price on that? Dominating two phases of the game?

What exactly has PP done to make you even suspect he has the potential to be an elite CB? Most of the conversation is about how he should be moved to safety, he's been getting torched.

I find it funny that this guy is riding the sack of Matt Moore. Is he good? yeah sometimes. Most of the time he blows and that's why he's mainly a backup. Nobody in the NFL would ever consider taking Matt Moore over Cam Newton.

I know, it's laughable that we're comparing Moore to Cam... you think being named opening day starter made Moore poop down his leg, imagine if he was the # 1 overall pick & the opening day starter.

Moore is good when the pressure is off, if that's what you want in a QB then you can have it.

...and comparing Moore win % in 2007 to Cam's on this 2011 team is absurd. That 2007 team was MUCH better then this 2011 team.

In Moore's best performance that year, he went 15 of 24 for 174 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in a road win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (who were 9-7 that year).

You've yet to address the almost certainty that if Peterson does turn into an elite corner they will yank him from special teams. The reason Hester is still returning kicks/punts is because he is expendable on offense and is nothing more than "just another guy" at receiver.

I think Peterson WILL be an elite corner. Corner is a very difficult position to adjust to and it was dumb for people(I was probably one of them) to suggest he'd come in and make an immediate impact at corner. He's been progressively improving as the year goes on which is really all you can ask for. All I'm saying is if he reaches his potential, and gets that big shutdown corner pay day, say goodbye to ST. Really a damn shame, too.

The experts disagree.

Like everyone is choosing to ignore because it hurts their soul, the experts agree Moore is playing better than Newton to this day. Newton might have a higher ceiling, but Moore is clearly the better QB right now, despite all of Newton's hype.

It says a lot about Moore that he's able to rally teams with losing records and make them relevant, make other teams fear them, make them contenders, get the best out of his teammates, elevate everyone's play.

This is something Cam Newton has not found a way to do.
