I don't mind the scheme but we clearly have issues. We're clearly playing players who wouldn't be playing on good teams. Definitely not a recipe for success but we do have some good players( DE's,Gamble), a couple of them out (Beason and TD), and some decent ones (Godfrey,Andersen, Connor). We really need a ballhawk FS, and another corner with some skills and size opposite of Gamble ( I like Butler, but he's still proving himself), and we need some power in the middle of our DL.

someone read this guys post.. before anyone makes anymore dumbass comments, try reading this first.

As horrid as our defense has been this year, I am very excited to see them next year. We get Edwards, Beason, and Davis(although we're going to need someone to step in once he gets hurt) all back next year. That's already three upgrades.

Not to mention we're going to have some good pickups via the draft/FA. Someone like Claiborne will help cover up some of the safety play. Another DT will also help in stopping the run and the DL as a whole.

We also get a full offseason of OTA's/training camps for Rivera to implement his defensive strategy. I have no problem thinking Rivera will work out the kinks and get this D turned around in a hurry.

I'm guessing most fans would agree that our defense looks terrible. No power at the point of attack, slow LBs in the wrong gaps, safeties taking bad angles, zone talent corners being put on islands, a general lack of physicality, poor tackling, failed blitzes, and overall statistically abysmal.

The reality is that we might switch to a 3-4, or some other type of scheme in the near furture. Even if we stick with this scheme, Hogan, Beason, Davis, and Edwards will hopefully return from injury, and along with whatever draft picks we add, should greatly improve our defense. I'm not expecting a repeat of the defensive disaster we've suffered through this season, but I suppose anything can happen.

should lead to you being banned...I've heard "were not bad we just play a good 30 minutes on defense", "We just don't have much depth"...Depth? We don't have talent! One decent LB, one good CB, and a solid DE...That is it the rest of the defense can be scraped...Hardy your a rotation guy at best...Our DT's BLOW, our Line Backers BLOW, our secondary BLOW'S, our scheme BLOW'S...Overreacting? NO, look at the talent around the league! Our starters may not crack other teams "depth"... One thing that makes this hard for me is Fox has Denver winning by holding opponents under 13 a game, they were 28th in D last season...Our defense has drastically dropped from last year...The type of fall that the offense would take if you put Jimmy in for Cam...Drastic, scrapped, it looks horrible, it is horrible...If it walk's like a fuging duck, and talk's like a fuging duck then guess what people it's usually a fuging DUCK! We can't stop the run, can't tackle worth a poo, and can't cover besides Gamble, and we don't have a consistent pass rush...Well I guess that mean's our defense blows...Sugar coat that every one I'm waiting for it...I thought Rivera was a defensive guy? No one thought the D would drop this bad...And don't hand me that "well wait till next off season" poo we wasted two early picks on the DT's of the "future"...Does that show you a little something...fug without Cam we have the worst draft in the NFL.

perfect example of the infinite monkey theorem. google it.

Funny can the same logic be applied to people like you, making excuses for our offense or rookie QB and the cause for our losses?

Can we ban any moron that keeps talking about how a rookie QB is the most impressive part of this team, makes our elite receivers look good, carries the team, is the only reason for our offense being any good?

Can we ban anyone that continues to say one of the most inefficient offenses as well as inability in scoring points, in the league, is not the most important indicator of our losses as well as scoring points?

Can we also ban any idiots that continue spouting an offensive efficiency stats isn't an offensive statistic?

I think that would be a great start too.

Then follow it up with banning anyone that have no clue what words like merely, turnovers, takeaways, giveaways, interceptions, offense, scoring offense, total offense, as what stats are most important and continue pointing to retarded stats like yours instead of the ones that are more important...like say winning and scoring points?

Finally follow it up with anyone that have no clue how to point out and rank a good defense and continues to troll the defense all the long ignorantly.

And you'll have 3 people left. 10 tops. You'd be gone, I would still be here. Maybe a few others.

If you can't figure out what makes up the offense or defense of a football team you are officially too fuging stupid to talk football. If you can't figure which side is responsible for scoring points you are just as idiotic.

talk about statistical anomalies. heres another monkey.

Our safeties are divas who pray they don't have to tackle and our DATEs are inexperienced marshmallows.

Healthy or not, Beason and Davis couldn't even save this D. A ball hawking safety and a stud DT would do wonders for covering some of our lack of skill/depth.

I agree with your assessment. Our DTs cannot even stay in their gap much less get penetration.I was looking at stats on dts and other teams scrub DTs have the amount of tackles and sacks but what is important is we have no gap integrity nor gap penetration making it worse on our corp of scrub lbs

The OP is just keeping it real. All losing teams can come up with excuses, hell that is easy. We need start to bitch more instead of making up all this excuse crap. The huddle runs on excuses.

Instead of thinking of it "Why are we losing?" try and think of it as "Why are we not winning?", and you'll see the latter is much harder to answer but the key is you'll think of things we can't do instead of things we are doing (wrong). There are no excuses and the answer is quite simple guys, we simply are not good enough.

Not good enough to win, not good enough to go to the playoffs and the biggest problem is being no where close to being good enough for the NFC south. Only way to fix this is for Rivera to do a little redecorating during the offseason which I have no doubt he will.
