Who, on this Panther defense, can tackle L. Blount?

After watching the Tampa highlights and Blount just running people over I was wondering myself how the Panthers are going to stop him. Its going to be a interesting game next Sunday no doubt. Just better hope the Panther offense is sharp, puts up points and even gets on the field :-) cause if I were Tampa I would just keep feeding Blount all day, pound it, ground out the clock and keep Cam and the Panther offense off the field.

For the 1st half we are going to shut Blount down. Short of Beanie Wells and Forte we are pretty good on stopping RB's in the 1st half. However in the second half Blount is going to tear us a new one unless we finally figure out our run gap integrity and our DT's hold their lanes. Hasn't really happened all year but who knows.

Its been like that almost every game! Guess we need to go into the half with 3+ touchdowns!

finally, I'm not the only one talking about what's really going on..

or get depth? actually, that would be our starters.. get our starters back so our depth can step in.. Beason rarely takes off plays, that's a huge loss all on it's own..

Tampa's bread and butter is Freeman throwing a 5 yd dump off to a running back who then runs for an extra 7-10 yards. (so annoying when espn raves how great of a passer he is) Add Blount who is like 250 lbs and literally punches people in the mouth...our LB's have their work cut out for them. They will need a serious pep talk before the game...

as CRA said in the other thread about tampa, if we get on the board early and go up by a couple scores we will take blount out of the game better than any LB could do.

they'll abandon blount when they are behind because he is way too one-dimensional a player.

when they are down by 1-7 points, they only run the ball about 38%. when they are behind 15-21 points, they only run the ball 26%. if we want to win, we need to get up on them by a couple scores early.

they rarely rely on blount in the passing game. in fact they really don't use him at all on 3rd and 4th downs. lumpkin is the guy they use on 3rd and 4th downs and is the RB they go to in the passing game (esp. since they lost graham).

imo, i'd be more worried about lumpkin than blount this game. we do pretty poorly against dual threat RBs than we do RBs who can only run the ball.
