Tis the Season...Worst Christmas Present you ever got?

um...what?

I didn't mean that in a sexist way. I am, in fact, a male house wife. I work from home and do all the cooking and cleaning. Those are my domestic responsibilities. I don't expect my wife to do those things, she can't obviously. If roles were reversed, I would though.

My first Christmas with my ex which was a couple years ago, she got me an Ed Hardy t-shirt. First bad sign. Second bad sign, it was a god awful ugly one at that. She even gave me the whole, you can take it back if you don't like it stuff but whaddaya gonna do? Oh, I got her a Tiffany necklace and a pair of shoes on top of a dinner at the Melting Pot. *****.

After 10+ years of not seeing his sister, my father in law and his family was invited to her house for Christmas. There was a bit of a falling out after their father died, which lead to them not speaking for such a long time. This was supposed to be a quick "how do you do?" type invitation, no food, no presents, just a "beginning" on trying to patch things up.

One we arrived, his sister proclaimed, "I know we weren't supposed to get gifts, but I couldn't resist". I didn't even know what his sister's name was up until the day before we went to her house, and didn't know how she knew who I was. Definitely kind of ackward.

To make things even worse, my brother in law and myself both had the exact same size/shape wrapped present, sounded the same when shook, everything. When we opened them... it was a split-up 2 pack of plastic handle Dollar Tree screw drivers (I got Phillips, he got flat), and one pair of socks (also spilt up from a multipack, no tags, labels). I wish I could have seen my reaction, lol.
