D-Will for MVP?

Oh, but there is. LenDale White.

Don't believe me? Just ask him. Oh, and don't forget to give him props for his patented, copyrighted nickname.

But seriously, if Portis' decline continues and NO misses the playoffs I think he is a legit contender. Johnson will by ROTY and Collins might be Comeback Player (even though all he came back from doing was riding the bench), so hopefully that's enough hardware for Tennessee. Oh, not to mention Fisher as Coach of the Year.

If we beat the Giants and force Eli to some sub-par numbers, D-Will will have an outsider's shot. Depends on our final record and whether or not he can climb into the top three in yards.

I agree, but I like Matt Ryan as ROY.

i am pretty certain it will be warner. he has great numbers, and has led his team to a home playoff game for the first time in like 50 some years.

I think it all depends on how he performs in the playoffs. There are a couple of players who are in the mix and on playoff teams that could surpass him in the next few weeks.

Delhomme for Comeback player. No QB has ever even had Tommy John surgery. And quite frankly, no player means more to his team than Jake does to the Panthers

Pitchers in MLB dont come back from that surgery. Does it seem that Jake is throwing the ball too hard? lol

The problem is that Jake isn't really having a very good season. Stats wise, it may be his worst.

It's about on par with most of his seasons actually.

There's no way Ryan doesn't win ROY, fact is, a QB leading a team that was expected to win 3 games to the playoffs/chance at playoffs is much greater than a running back.

And I don't see Deangelo getting MVP, Warner or Brees will get that.

I don't think Brees will get it unless they make the playoffs which is a stretch. I heard some talk last night of Ryan actually getting ROY and MVP. He has been that good. I don't think Williams is even being talked about but if he puts together a string of nights like last Monday he will start getting attention.

    • Agreed on the last part. They can’t afford to lose all these games with Martin and Perets.
    • Yes.  And this converts directly to confidence.  Does the coach have confidence to call a deep dig or seam route?  Does Bryce have confidence in his ability to be the Alpha?  Do his teammates have confidence.  About film--when I see Cam Newton's pre-snap confidence vs. Bryce's, it is night and day.   Film--tells you if the WRs are open (why l love watching the Replay telecasts from the end zone cameras--you can see it.  I have seen 2 WRs open and Bryce's eyes are on the outlet WR or the pass rush. )  You can see progressions, and he has improved a bit--but he is very quick to rush through 1 and 2 and checkdown--that is a lack of confidence in his ability to read the defense.  I had a former NFL TE (Deems Maye) who played QB in high school (not sure about college) tell me that the best QBs read the defense by knowing where everyone will be when the ball is to arrive--not where they are.  I think his QB at the time was Humphries.  He said that Humphries would throw the ball into coverage before the cuts etc.  because he understood DB momentum, zone areas, etc.  and he could just see it.  Said so when people say nobody was open, they are usually right because nobody should be "open" when the QB has the ball--when the ball arrives, everyone should be open.  He said Humphries was never "great" but his skills were limited--from a small school--but his ability to read a defense made him never give up on a route.
