He is exactly what we all (well most of us that didn't go to school off 321) thought he was when drafted. A 100% project...one flashy play in 2 years.

He is just not very fast, face the facts. I ran a sub 6.1 time in the 40 yard dash back in college, so I know speed. Armanti has I-AA, maybe Big 10, speed. Not NFL kick returner speed.

Our coaching/front office isn't creative or smart enough to make use of Armantis skillset like say the Steelers with Randel-El. Thats the kind of thing only great teams can figure out. I'd love to see Armanti with them or the Patriots. Our team as a whole lacks confidence and swagger

armanti isn't the issue, u can put hester back there and he will yield the exact same result. Special Teams is awful, there is no blocking. Armanti has a half a sec to catch the ball before he has someone in his face.

I haven't read the entire thread, but are people actually suggesting putting high draft priority on a return man?

AE'S biggest problem is hesitation and vision. When he catches a punt he becomes lost, and studder steps almost every single time. A lot of times he would pick up 5-10 more yards if he just makes the decision to GO! IF he ever figures this out he will improve drasticly.

AE has done ok with PR, but he is not a WR and thats the problem. Capt was better at PR and got yards almost every return. I like AE, but he is a wast of a game day roster spot.

Regardless of how Armanti pans out, there will be plenty of people on either side of the fence eating crow.
