Stewart: Only 10 Rush attempts

Glad none of you are coaching. Stewart would be worn out in a couple of years.

Stewart touched the ball 13 times, and Williams 15. Our run/pass ratio was great today, all of our running backs were effective, and the rotation kept both Williams and Stewart fresh. And Stewart caught 3 balls while Williams caught none. Stewart is on on most passing downs, so the rotation is about right.

D.Will got 15. Honestly, I can't complain about 25 rushes to 27 passes on the day. Major improvement.

We had more rushes than passes if you throw in Cam's rushes. Don't know how many were designed and how many were scrambles though.

I got no problem with not using either running backs that much this year.

Honestly, this is a great point...If you're making a run to the dump why put mileage on the good truck when you can use the beater?

I forgot about Cam's rushes. I know off the top of my head that two of Cam's rushes were planned. the TD and another he had on a separate 3rd down.

Today we had 35 rushes, 25 were from our RBs, 15 went to Dwill and 10 went to Stew.

Hard to tell how many of Cam's were planned, but there were 2 or 3 that clearly were.

also to note, Stew had 3 catches, so the touches between the two backs was much closer than it might look with just rushes.

Why are we only running him 10 times a game? He could rush for 100 yards easy on 15 carries

IS it my turn to start a thread about how Williams got 73 yards on only 10 carries last week? They are both great backs. The Stewart vs Williams fan club is tiring.

Stew is a power runner, good for barreling over multiple defenders. D.Will is all about speed and quick moves. Run Stew as much as you guys want and he'll be on the sidelines all busted up. D.Will avoids those hits that Stew takes all day.

we've got 3 guys running the ball. nobody is going to be getting much more than what they are, nor should they.

I'm pretty happy with this game, but it really is more the exception than the rule when it comes to our run/pass breakdown, and who is running the ball.
