Let's put it this way. DeAngelo Williams is a Hall Of Fame talent who will not make it to the HOF only because he doesn't get the ball enough. Honestly, no RB in NFL history would make it to the HOF if they got the few carries that DeAngelo gets per game since he's been in the NFL.

He's only averaging 9 carries per game. 9....Nine.

Let's see, Maurice Jones-Drew has had 212 rushing attempts and has gotten 941 yards. DeAngelo Williams has had 93 rushing attempts and has 471 yards.

Now let's say DeAngelo had 186 rushing attempts instead of just 93. He would have 942 rushing yards right now. More yards than Maurice Jones-Drew in 26 less attempts.

The guy has always produced in his career when he actually gets his touches.

This logic continues to amuse the sh!t out of me. You want to hold a brilliant 69 yard touchdown run against DWill?

Common sense time. Dwill has 93 rushes for 471 yards. Fine, take away 1 rush and 69 yards on the TD run. 402 yards divided by 92 attempts is 4.4 yards per rush. Even if you penalize DWill for his greatness, his yards per rush average is still 1/10 of a yard behind JStew.

D-Wills contract was not too big because of his production in the past. It was to big because of his production in the furture.

And with Stewart and our pass happy offence he will never top 1000 yds again and thus he is majorly overpaid and it was a stupid move by Hurney, in fact it might have been the worst move of the offseason.

Yeah, getting into the hall is serious business. I doubt Steve Smith even has a chance and he actually has very good numbers over his career in addition to being a completely unique player and amazing competitor who broke the mold of what makes a traditionally great NFL WR. Williams would have to have like 5 more seasons just like 2008 to be considered.
