Saw it this afternoon, but didn't see a thread for it. Sorry if I missed one. It's something, I suppose, given how awful our ST's have been, return game included.

But really, it must've been a really slow week for special teams if they gave it to a player from a losing team.

Maybe he is just not that fast.

I don't see Pilares being a long term fix for the KR game. But then again the KR game has been diminished with the new KO rule.

Specials teams returners don't have to be blazing fast, they have to be quick accelerators, be able to see holes and creases and make a few guys miss. After that it is a foot race. Mark Jones a few years ago was incredibly slow but he got the most out of every return and had a very solid return average. If speed were everything, then Edwards would be amazing and he clearly isn't.
