don't forget your clean up crew!! snails, hermit crabs, peppermint shrimp...these are cheap and fun to watch....and should they croak..you're not out a lot of money

We've had ours up since March..it's come a looong way...and still we've got a long way to go..just be patient and take your time. It's definitely a learning process

yes...you still want to cycle the tank...buy some cheapo fish to speed that along. You can still buy some really nice fish for freshwater and they'll look great....African Ciclids for example.

might need some aquarium salt but thats it.
