I remember an interview with Coach Rivera after he was first hired. He stated that he is a calm man on the sideline, you won't see any yelling or big emotional displays from him. No Cowher or Chuckie action. I have noticed, though, that he does approach players on the sideline and calmly has his say, whether encouragement or warning or direction, and gets back to the game. He doesn't let anything linger or build up (ie Shannahan-yuck).

I'm glad he is calm. I don't like the spitting, yelling, or demonstrative coaches.

Watch DeAngelo's weekly streaming show, he's been asked on several occasions what Rivera said to them after the game, during halftime, etc.. when the locker room door is closed, Rivera opens up on these guys.

When you start ranting and raving, you've lost control... Rivera's not the type to lose control.

why would he be the same regardless? anyone with any dimension to their personality and a knowledge of how to deal with people would know that and know how to do that.

These type threads always come up when somebody wants the coach to personify their own feelings about the team and feel as though the job isn't being done correctly when it fails to happen....pretty ridiculous.

The good thing is that it doesn't matter what any of us think about Rivera. The only thing that matters is what his assistant coaches and players think of him.
