Broncos with two number ones the next two years

Now, our luck would be that someone signs him to an offer, thus giving us a chance at two first rounders... then our FO matches the offer.

Now wouldn't that just suck?

It's a legitimate possibility.

But in such a scenario, one shouldn't count out the ever popular "poison pill" :sosp:

So is my understanding correct that if say NE offered him a 6 year, $90M deal, we could match or beat it and then Pep has to play for us for 6 years? That would be funny. There's every reason right there for him to sign nothing. By the way, I saw him and his agent walking into NE front office the other day and took a picture for the huddle. I couldn't hear exactly what they were talking about, but I distinctly heard Pep say something about "tending the rabbits."

i highly doubt we would get 2 first for peppers. maybe one of their first and a third at the very most.

We will ether get 2 first, he will sit out, or he will play for us this season. That looks to be whats going on at the moment. The Panthers FO has not flinched and seems poised to keep him around if need be.

He doesn't have to sign the tender for that to Happen, he's got an nonexclusive Tag, which means he can work out a contract with any other team, then we have a right to either match that contract or take the two first. If we match the contract He's stuck here regardless. The only thing he could do then is sit out and not get paid or get massive fines by the club.

If we match the offer, Julius still does not have to sign it......correct?

No if he's given an offer sheet we can match it and he's screwed pretty much on the notation of getting out of carolina....... Because by him agreeing to an offer sheet he gives Rights to the Carolina Panther's to match that signed contract, if we matched its the same as him signing a contract that Carolina offered him.
