Looks like a bad bruise to me... I had those a lot.

I have had those, a blood bruise. It will move out but takes a couple weeks.

I've had that happen from a badly broke collar bone. The day after I broke it I was black and blue on one side from my sholder all the way down to my hip. Scared the hell out of me when I first saw it. In my case it was nasty looking but otherwise no problem. Took a couple of weeks to go away
