Jay Cutler is a BEAR!!

TANTRIC-NINJA

Yes we did.

This pickup, no matter what all of the haters say, does make the Bears an automatic contender. You can't stack the box with 8 waiting on Forte anymore, because YES a QB does make a WR better when he's throwing it where the ball needs to be, and the Bears do have options to throw to. I expect Hester to continue to grow in his role at WR, as he was doing at the end of the year, and Cutler has one of the best TE tandems in the league to throw to (a QBs security blanket) as well as a young WR that he already built a rapport with in college (Earl Bennett). With the Bears fortifying the O Line, as well, the Bears offense will be much more potent than those of yesteryears. Cutler threw for some 4500 yards last year and the Bears most passing yards we've ever had was 3800ish by Erik Kramer in the 90's. So, yes, this is a great pickup.

:conehead:

Congrats Dimbee, I think this makes Chicago very dangerous in the north and will Minny ignoring their QB needs I think the Bears are in about the best shape going forward.

Nope, not happening. Peppers will play this season as a Panther.

There's no way that happens. If he does stay, he'll develop a mysterious illness again. So he definitely won't be playing. It's possible that he stays and mopes around the field, but playing? Nope, won't be happening.

There's NO way Peppers is on the Panthers team and not on the field

Last illness was legit and our FO won't give in to what they think is a sub-par deal for him. He knows he has to perform to aintain or raise his value. He'll have another good season, for us. I'd bet on it.

Actually, Cutler grew up a Bears fan and had already stated that the Bears were 1 of a couple of teams he would like to go to... but don't bother dwelling on that. :D

No I mean Cutler was a disgruntled player in Denver, so the leverage would be in favor of the team wanting to acquire him, it just looks like the Bears just didn't know what the hell they were doing.

My apologies Dimbee. I meant metaphorically. He'll technically be playing, but it won't be real playing. It will be his 2007 going-through-the-motions playing because he was unhappy.

;)

I would think that it would behoove Pep to play his butt off to entice teams to want to pick him up... as opposed to loafing all season.
