Cam and his problems

Some of u simply have nothing else better to do.

It's clear unlike the other QBs, finding fault with Cam comes quite easily for some...I wonder why. And sadly its the same BS to start and get attention.

As Deion Sanders said, it's the receivers job to get the balls. QBs are always going to throw perfect. Unless ur Cam Newton and some folks just gain pleasure from finding something wrong with u....

Anyway, Cam didn't blow a 24-7 lead in the second half...The defense did...

So because he had one good drive, the other 30 pooty ones don't count? That was the ONLY drive this offense marched down the field and scored a touchdown the entire game. Their first full field drive for a touchdown came in the 4th quarter. Everything else was because of the defense.

And the interceptions that came after that don't matter?

Who wins football games with quarterbacks that look like this?

Newton 22/38 280 7.4 1 4 50.2

Jimmy Clausen can do the same poo. He threw less interceptions though.

Yeah...Cam blew a 24-7 lead in the second...Oh I forget, he doesn't play DEFENSE...I'm sure u'd figure out a way to make even the defense struggles Cam's fault.

Why are u folks so obsessed over Cam and fixing every ish wrong with him while ignoring the reason why this team is REALLY losing.

Cam can throw the ball as straight as a fugging arrow, if ur damn defense feel like being generous with every fugging teamthey play there is no way in HELL this team is going to win.

I seriously wonder what is the REAL issue behind ur constant desire to start thread criticizing everything Cam does.

I noticed Kalil had a lot of low snaps today. Pesky.

The thing about those downfield passes everyone is upset about-most of the time the receiver is open...Cam just hasn't been hitting them the past couple weeks. We were highly succesful doing that in the beginning of the year when he was accurate, but he's gotten mechanically lazy the past couple weeks. Yes, there has pressure in the interior the past couple weeks (which makes me think RG is a much bigger need than the high profile OT everybody seems to want) but the lanes have still been there. He's simply been sluggish mechanically, and the coaching staff needs to get onto him about it.

Don't agree with your analysis. The receivers are open for a second not an extended period. The issue is that Cam is waiting for the receivers to uncover and then trying to whip the ball in there or feels pressure and throws too early. It is not really mechanics but timing and feeling comfortable in the pocket. He had his best success when they used shorter timing routes earlier in the game and mixed things up. When they watch film they will easily see the concerns. It is a shared offensive issue not due to one player. Also Shockey is a huge loss and he was Newton's safety valve. he was missed a lot yesterday. For whatever reason Olsen can't get open like Shockey can. The high back footed throws were largely due to the Detroit pressure up the middle which kept Cam from stepping up. He will learn to adjust but is surely a work in progress.

You really should GTFO. No one is ignoring the reason we lose, everyday there are multiple threads complaining about how shitty the defense is. You sound like a fuging idiot saying the same stupid poo everyday

Cam has GOT to stop that stupid juke. If they are going to use him like a RB in plays he needs to be taught to run a little better. Jukes are only effective if you can do it either way at least. This is what got Cammed popped in this game. The defense did not flinch and will no longer flinch when he jukes if it's always the same move. But yeah, we are obviously designing plays running him so teach him to run. Whenever he runs it looks like a freestyle scramble. I know he has a lot on his plate but he is going to get injured if he keeps up with that move I promise you.

The reason I focus on this is because I don't want to see Cam get injured. But noticing Cams weaknesses is for good discussion, he maybe look to be a great player someday he isn't perfect. We can also compare his mistakes to rookie QBs then elite before him.

The main problem for Cam is he presses cause he knows he needs to make a TD on every drive. Once he knows he can rely on his Defense things will get better.

No...

Panthers had a two score lead. 7 of 8 plays during that time were passes, including several incomplete long bombs.

zero ball control, zero killing the Lions' momentum... nothing. Chud's offense blows. I don't want pretty QB stats. I want wins.

Your post doesn't say anything about points off turnovers...am I missing something?

remember when the Lions came back and beat the Cowboys because the Cowboys kept throwing the ball when they had the lead?

7/8 of our plays when we had a two score lead were passes. had we tried some sort of ball control offense, those turnovers probably wouldn't have happened.

I don't have the numbers in front of me but how many points came from those 4 interceptions he threw?

7 points off 4 turnovers.

We had 10 points off 3 turnovers.

The TD they got off a Cam interception came after the defense gave up a TD to put us back down 42 to 35.
