Yeah if there's one thing you can get me on its my lack of football knowledge.

Internet friends, come rescue me... Tell everyone how smart I was... uhh, am.

Guys I dont know anything about the Carolina panthers.

All those amazing threads I made? Not actually smart. Sorry about that.

Okay, you didn't come b*tches, so I'll have to do it myself. Thanks for having my back guys!

the team has a ways to go. we can do a football knowledge ******* contest all day long. team hasn't been in the playoffs since 08.

no multiple 1st round picks to stock pile talent and depth.

yeah, lets go ahead and share our knowledge of 2 gap techniques and inside shoulder look of a corner to give off the help coverage.

We should NOT be counting on Otah or Gettis or Davis. Foolish.

Trading down is a possibility I guess, it always is but BPA is pretty much it until after the second or third round. If we could get the defensive player we want much lower why wouldn't we trade? Unless we take another offensive weapon.

I am not too concerned with our top 5 pick and no matter what happens I just want to walk away with a defensive play maker with huge potential. Hopefully a BPA defensive player with our first round pick whether via trade or not.

BPA all the way on this. We need help on defense, very badly, but if we can't stockpile picks by way of a trade down go with BPA. The higher pick the better to be honest. Depending on who declares, I wouldn't be surprised if 4 QB's went in the top 10. Luck will likely go #1, then it's a crap shoot with Landry, Barkley, and Griffin. Maybe Cleveland isn't confident in Colt McCoy and gives up their two 1st rounders to grab a QB. Way too early to predict, but it's fun to imagine us being able to grab a Zach Brown and Brandon Thompson/Dre Kirkpatrick in the first.

Sign Deacon Jones, sign Jack Ham, sign Joe Greene, bring Dick Butkus in for a workout, bring in Jack Tatum, trade for Reggie White, call up Refrigerator Perry, and voila we're all good for next year gaiz. [/99% of the huddle]

Yup, we're in good shape.

Haha. Or, recent history Huddle, sign Haynesworth, TO, Ocho, Lito Sheppard and Jake as a QB consultant.

this team has a good 2 more seasons before things really turn.... Get Newton a "megatron" style playmaker not named Steve Smith.... the remainder of the draft can be made on the D.

There isn't a Megatron style receiver in this draft...

I pray we get the #1 overall and then max the hell out of that pick for a team desperate for Luck

Or even if we get #2 and Barkley declares. There's a little fat man in Washington named Dan Snyder who may be the biggest key in a resurrection of our defense in the 2012 season.

IMO, Unless you are TOTALLY set longterm at a position, you ALWAYS take BPA. All the top franchises draft this way. The only time you dont take BPA is if there is too similiarly graded out players, and one of them fills a big need. Otherwise, BPA.

I dont know of any really great defensive players in this draft worth a top 5 pick most likely. That will probably change through the combine and around draft time.

Im sorry, if Kalil is sitting there when we pick, I dont think you can pass up an elite LT prospect go, especially with how much we are looking to be a passing offense. Even though we need talent on D badly.

I believe Otah will be back and healthy next year, fingers crossed, but when he's healthy he's one of the best in the game. Look how good the OL was in '08 when we drafted Otah. Image Kalil, Kalil, Gross, and Otah on the line. That would be sick

Otah is done as a player. Nether his hart nor is body can handle Football. Just mark him down and another Hurney fug up.
