Can the Panthers afford to go Offense with their 1st pick in the Draft?

If you say Matthieu I will cut you.

No...

But being that Hurney refuses to sign young FAs we didn't draft who have already proven their worth, we HAVE to take defensive players in the draft and hope they make an impact, and this defense needs A LOT OF HELP.

I wouldn't be mad with the Kalil pick if it's there, but with all of the uncertainty with our LB and interior line, I'd prefer to address those positions first. A CB with size to complement Gamble wouldn't hurt either, but I think our secondary would be fine with more help up front.

For those of you that think we are gonna miraculously turn our defensive unit around via free agency, please look at the list of upcoming free agents and tell me how?

I firmly believe that PLENTY of hellified defensive players come out of the 2nd and 3rd rounds, but we need more picks than 1 in those two rounds. By the list of free agents, our offensive woes can be addressed......defense, not hardly!

That said, we do whatever it takes to pick up more picks in the first three rds.
