Can the Panthers afford to go Offense with their 1st pick in the Draft?

Claiborne is right behind Kalil as a prospect actually.

Its like people on this board don't want Claiborne to exist. By year two hes likely to be our best defensive player if we draft him.

Patrick Peterson was a better prospect than Claiborne, and Peterson is stuggling in coverage. That corner out of Notre Dame would be a good pick up late in the draft. (Robert Blanton)

He looks good, and I think he'd fill a pretty big need, but I also feel like our offensive line is in pretty bad shape... and I think Kalil is the safer bet right now.

But I'd be happy with Claiborne, too.

Peterson was a better prospect because his size. Claiborne is significantly more fluid in coverage, has great ball skills  and elite speed and its not like Claiborne is small he has good size for a CB but Peterson is huge for a CB.

My question is, is Claiborne even the best corner on his team?

I'd say that he is, just because Mathieu plays so angry. Mathieu compares to Burfict in this regard. Besides, Mathieu isn't even eligible for the Draft.

So, is Claiborne the best Draft eligible corner on his team? Most definitely.
