stopping LJ is no big deal anymore. he has only 2 games this year over 100 and only 4 TDs total (1st game they let him get 198 yards and 2 TDs)

they gave up a 59yd TD and a 29yd TD to the jets 2 weeks ago.

before that in the game they LOST to the raiders fargas had 107 yards rushing and mcfadden had 2 rushing TDs (of the 3 he has had all year)

week before that they gave up 2 rushing TDs to michael turner (one of the was a 28 yard run)

and all this is in the past 4 weeks in their "improved" rush defense.

are you impressed? i know i am.

Denvers run defense has improved a lot since the New England game. We just give up a lot of big runs. We pretty much shut down Michael Turner and Thomas Jones except they broke 2 or 3 big runs on us. Teams aren't sustaining drives with their running game against us like they were last season, the majority of the time they are getting 1 or 2 yards and then a linebacker gets out of his gap and there goes a 60 yard run.

Expect 8 men in the box most of the day...... But if you guys get into the second level its a TD.:(

Our passrush is horrible. Deihlomme (sp?) should play one of his better games of the season against us, most QB's do. Dumervil broke his finger week 1 and has been ineffective most of the season but he is feeling better and has had a sack the past 2 games. Outside of Dumervil though, we have nobody who gets sacks.

To comparison we have 11...

They do have Dumervil who is a speedster around the corner and if they line him up against Otah it could get ugly... Or.... Otah will bodyslam him on the first drive..:)

We are a great running team.... Denvers has no run-d

We have problems in the secondary... Denver has a high power air offense..

I am REEEAAAAALLLLY excited to see what Clady can do against Peppers. Clady hasn't given up a sack all season (our O-line is on pace to allow the 3rd fewest sacks in NFL History) I want to see if Clady has what it takes to go toe to toe with maybe the best DE in the game.

We were never actually a 3-4 D.

That was like 15 plays in about two games.

I know the Den pass rush was hurting early on also, is that improved?

Only if our D comes to play -_-

i think we will be good in the running game this week but if anyone is expecting anything like last week they are in for a shock....d-will will mostly run for 80-100 we may get another 30-40 yards out of stew...thats enough to win most games but not jaw dropping by any means

      Hope Koch recovers (he’s stated numerous times he doesn’t like to be called “koochie”) soon. But he does not instill confidence in the crease. I don’t have any confidence in any of our goalies, healthy or not. Andersen when available gives us the best chance to win but he’s never available.    Team has to explore trade options soon.

      Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
