DAMN YOU CAM NEWTON!! (for allowing the lions to score 7 TDs)

There were shorter routes underneath. Cam decided to bomb it. I swear there is an excuse for every mistake he makes, it's getting tiresome.
Cam has been doing that even when he has played well. Hopefully, that will stop next year with experience.

So, your saying, since we took 14 less plays, and only compiled 85ish yards less, then we're less efficient? Can you do math?

Ah, I was reading it wrong. Either way, 3 yards less to score is not that big of a deal. That stat is horribly misguiding.

Why exactly are you building in them getting a turnover as giving them extra points? That last turnover didn't influence the score in terms of them getting any more points in any possible way. You can take points away from us for it but yeah.

Because I wanted to use the actual method you use to predict and calculate YPP, not what happened in the game and see if it comes out close and that's how you do it: 3.8 per turnover. I could have used actual scores. But I wanted to test it. You use 3.8 and 50 yards. That's the whole idea. It can either be one or the other.

And I made a mistake. It only needs to be subtracted once. Not twice.

When you are negative you give 3.8 and you subtract 3.8. But you factor in the team's actual efficiency. We were both pretty efficient. So you have to adjust. An average offense gets 3.8. Efficient offenses get whatever their efficiency is * that amount.

For those complaining about Cam "bombing" it when there are shorter routes open... this is a vertical passing offense, so usually the primary read is deep. Also, we usually are in long-to-go situations so he's wanting to get bigger plays and more yardage.

They want him to pass it deep. Problem is when they're choosing to do so - against defenses that are waiting for them and dropping everyone into coverage. If you look on his INTs today, it was mostly because of pressure and NO ONE WAS OPEN TO BEGIN WITH.

Down 7 points in the 4th quarter, your QB trots onto the field heroically, and then, with two minutes remaining, and three timeouts, proceeds to heave a terrible pass downfield against a Prevent defense for an interception, losing the game.

Not what legends are made of. I suppose the best part is how we will have to listen to how "clutch" The Golden Calf of Bristol is and how much of a "choker" Cam is. Just to add insult to humiliation.

Who cares how good Tim is...Anyone with eyes and some sense can tell The Golden Calf of Bristol isn't much without his team doing most of the work. But at least Tim doesn't have to play Superman because his team is actually helping him.

Cam has to play Superman every damn week. Even worst, it's his own team who is the kryptonite to his strenght. How sickening does that feel.

Yeah, let's once again ignore the HUGE ASS elephant in the room and pick on Cam's game. Way easier than bitching about how bad the defense and special team has been playing ALL season.

Unless Cam is putting up ridiculous numbers and still losing by a td or less, many of u aren't happy because in ur minds Cam is suppose to be Superman. But damn, even Superman had help.

cam had some bad throws.

some of those throws he should not have had to make in the first place.

football is a team sport. we can shove our rookie quarterback under the microscope and point out all the things he did wrong, but at the end of the day you've got to realize that HE WAS PUT IN THE POSITION TO FAIL by the defense.

dalton wasn't exactly good today either, but he was playing the Ravens D. Despite 3 INTs they had a chance to tie with under a minute, but he got sacked.

Moore is playing awesome, but that's no surprise to me. Moore didn't want to back Cam up here anyway I don't think.

Dalton had three and Ponder had 3. I wonder if the fans are beating them up like the fans on this site seem to enjoy doing with Cam.

I would say he sucked if he was playing bad and the defense doing their job and holding off the opposing team.

Should we simply chalk next week game up as a win for the Colts? Expecially if Cam and the offense decide not to show up. Maybe they will win by 30 and the "defense played good but the offense didn't" mantra can continue.

Fixed, and agreed.

I agree with u.

If anyone have been paying attention, they would realized that the majority of the Lions scores has made in the late third and fourth quarter of almost every game. That is when the defense should have stepped up and held off the Lions.

Some are itching about Cam's four int and ignoring the fact that the defense gave Matt 5 fugging tds. Oh yes, I guess if Cam didn't turn over the ball the defense wouldn't have been on the field in the first place...forgiving me for not getting the twisted logic.
