DAMN YOU CAM NEWTON!! (for allowing the lions to score 7 TDs)

There were shorter routes underneath. Cam decided to bomb it. I swear there is an excuse for every mistake he makes, it's getting tiresome.

Are you directing this to me? If so, I agree. But, it wasn't garbage time, which you declared it to be. We were still in the game when it happened.

You said his numbers were inflated in garbage time, which made it seem like they were running prevent, and Cam was picking up all of his yards there, which frankly, isn't true.

Like I said, Cam legitimately got all of his numbers. Both good and bad. The interceptions and the touchdowns.

Very much what happend to Peyton his rookie year, not making any excuses for Cam, but the offense should've been dink and dunks during the final 2 minutes...or sidelined pass oriented. Not across the middle in a prevent, blame both Cam and the cooridinator but mostly on the play calling. He'll get better and learn to eat the ball...the defense is horrible..absolutely no excuse for giving up 50 points in the NFL...I don't care how many INTs the QB throws.

So, your saying, since we took 14 less plays, and only compiled 85ish yards less, then we're less efficient? Can you do math?

Dude....if you don't understand ask.

Panthers: 409/ 35 = 11.68

Lions: 495/49= 10.95 And excuse me my math was a bit off. But that's how it's done.

Honestly you guys are freaking out...but I predicted a blowout before the game even started. Didn't know the score would be quite this high but:

Detroit defense chance of forcing a fumble against Carolina offense : 100%+

Detroit defense chance of obtaining 1 takeaway from Carolina offense: 300%+

Detroit defense chance of obtaining 2 takeaways from Carolina: 154%+

Detroit defense chance of obtaining 3 takeaways from Carolina: 108%

Carolina defense chance of forcing a fumble against Detroit: 60%

Carolina defense chance of obtaining 1 takeaway from Detroit: 150%

Carolina defense chance of obtaining 2 takeaways from Detroit: 50%

At even(0) turnover margin:

Detroit 25 - 23 Carolina

Expected Takeaways: Detroit 3 - Carolina 1

Final score: Detroit 33 - 17 Carolina

And just out of curiosity:

Detroit 4 turnovers x 3.8 = 15.2(129%) = 19.608 = 20

Carolina 3 turnovers: - 1 turnover margin: total: 2 x 3.8 = 7.5(125%) = 8.4 = 8

33+ 20 = 43 points

23+ 8= 31 points

The only thing I didn't see coming was 2 special teams returns for a TD from each team for 7 points a piece.

43+ 7 =50

32+ 7 = 38

50 - 39 Pretty close.

Nothing unexpected here.

dalton wasn't exactly good today either, but he was playing the Ravens D. Despite 3 INTs they had a chance to tie with under a minute, but he got sacked.

Moore is playing awesome, but that's no surprise to me. Moore didn't want to back Cam up here anyway I don't think.

Dalton's Defense didn't give up 35 second half points either.

Cam played fine. The last two interceptions were again late in the 4th quarter where we had little chance to win the game. He had 3 TD's and almost 300 yards again, Jeeeeezusss. And he just turned 22 years old.. Just stfu up on cam and spend every pick the next 2 years on defense, because we have the the worst defense in the NFL i've ever seen.

The dude lead a game tying 4th quarter drive when the momentum was CLEARLY on the Lions side, and then capped it off with a 2 pt conversion.

The two early turnovers were nonfactors because the Lions didn't get any points off of it. The 3rd int was kinda heart breaking as we had plenty of time to tie the game again, but it was a fantastic play by the LBer on a damn good throw that would have hit LaFell right on the hands had the LB not tipped it.

It happens. Peyton went 3-13 in his first year with multiple 3 INT games(I'm not even counting the 4th INT as it was garbage time). No way I'm putting most of the blame on Cam for this loss.

However...

Coaching staff is proving itself to be incompetent. The game is 60 minutes. I don't care how good you are in the first 30, if you can't close you won't last long in the NFL. Rivera better show some fuging progress in the last 6 games.
