DAMN YOU CAM NEWTON!! (for allowing the lions to score 7 TDs)

tbqh, I don't know how many QBs would have won with our offense and playcalls today. It may have been within a TD but there was no stopping Detroit in the 2nd half with our defense.

I think Rogers and Brady are the only two QB's in the league who could win consistently with our defense. A guy like Brees or Stafford might be able to get some wins, but not consistent enough to be a contender....I really wish people would lay off Cam. He is so far from the actual problem with this team. He's been shaky the last couple of games, but outside of the Tenn game and the Atlanta game, he's done enough that we should have won every game. Funny here I am defending Cam like crazy, and prior to the draft I was one of KT's biggest targets....

lol stupid assholes who wanted to start Matt Moore and tank the season and would have gladly gone 0-16 for Andrew Luck are pissed becuase we're "not winning"

I'm a stupid asshole who (towards the end of last year) got to the point where I believed it benefited the team more in the long run to lose games. That's not to say I was rooting for us to lose, I just wasn't bummed out after a loss like I am this year. If that makes me a bad fan then so be it....

Most of us who wanted to start Matt Moore weren't thinking to do it to tank to get andrew luck at all. I can only speak for the handful of people who didn't want to go QB first but wanted to go D instead... I was hoping our defense would be good enough with good drafting and FA pickups, and with a new system, Moore could win us some games. I was thinking if we still needed a QB next year, and if we ended up in position to draft one, we could get a guy next year (didn't expect it'd be Luck tho), but that was because I didn't think Cam was anywhere close to as good as he actually is. I readily admit I was wrong.

I'm glad we drafted Cam. I have no idea how it would have turned out had we gone "with my plan" or whatever, but I'm very happy with what he's done and what he can bring to this team in the future. I still wish we'd done more to help this defense than what we did, but they couldn't have predicted the injuries to our LBs.

I'm frustrated at losses this year because I expected our problem to be offense, not defense, if we started a rookie QB. But it's been defense... and that's frustrating after having gone so many seasons with at least an average D here.

the problem is, a rookie is going to be shaky. that's how it is.

but this team is relying on our quarterback to not just keep us in games, but outright win them, and often win shootouts.

that is tough for any quarterback, let alone a rookie.

I will give credit for that great return by the defense against the Lion's special team but this team lacks a whole lot of balance, plain and simple.

And it's clear this team didn't do their homework well against the Lions. I'm no expert and even I have noticed that most of the Lions game winning scores have come in the second half. The late third an fourth Qrt to be exact. Everyone expects Cam and the offense to remain strong for four qrts while it seems the defense gives away every game during the third and fourth quarter.

This fanbase was spoiled the first couple of games by Cam. Now they expect damn near perfection every game, and that's just not realistic for anyone not named Rogers, Brady or Manning. Especially a rookie QB who is still learning the nuances of the position in the pro game...

Honestly, if u an avid football watcher, u would know that this is the time where the defense NEED to step up their game if they haven't already. This time last year, it was GB defense that took the team all the way to the SuperBowl not their offense because no one knew how Rodgers was going to play after his return from his injury. Two defensively strong teams played in the SB this year.

Noticed the Bills have started to regress? The offense was kicking butt in the beginning of the season.

if you told me at the start of this season we'd score 30, 29, 27, 33, and 35 points among 11 games this season I'd think we'd be 5-6, maybe 4-7 at worst... I had no idea how bad our defense would be.

'course we've had our share of low scoring games too, but I expected that. Meh. There's always next year...

Bills are collapsing on both offense and defense. Agreed that now is the time to step up. I just don't think it will happen because this team just doesn't have the talent of a typical NFL defense. We are being ravaged by injuries, we're down to third string linebackers starting games.

During Rothlisburger's rookie year the Steelers tried to limit his pass attempts and lean on the run. Matt Ryan and Mark Sanchez also were told to manage the game and hand off to Turner/Greene. We tell our guy to air it out like Dan Fouts. Some of this vitriol towards Newton should be directed to the coaching staff.

U only had three low scoring games and one of them u actually won.

Some are now quick to say that Cam is regressing. Heck if ur QB have thrown almost 500 yds, for two straight game and the team lost...Have helped out both in the air and with his feet and his team still can't win, then maybe it's time to start facing the reality that a QB simply cannot win alone. With or withour mistakes on his part.

I have rooted for this team just like I do the Eagles, Pitts, and GB and my own teams the Jets and Gaints, from the beginning of the season. But I will be honest, saw the writing on the wall since the first game that this team wasn't going to win if the defense was simply going to keep giving the game away in the late third or fourth qrtr. Did u count how long it took for the Lions to move ahead of the Panthers once the panthers tied the game? Heck the Broncos held off the Jets for three damn qrtrs until The Golden Calf of Bristol was able to get his game runs in. The Panthers have a 27-14 lead near the end of the frth qrtr and allow the Lions back-up RB to have his best game ever.

This team is way to charitable for me.
