I can understand that, but the defense deserves more of the criticism today.

I expected him to make mistakes this year, so I can deal with them. People act like it's news for a rookie to make mistakes, even though Cam has already exceeded expectations this year.

No I understand completely what Cam is but I think you got it wrong.

You only score 8 points in the second half? I don't care what the defense did we know they suck, you have to score. EVERYONE in the world knows our defense can't shut them out...

What did you expect?

You say expect mistakes from a rookie QB but you actually expect the most worthless defense in the NFL to shut down a high powered offense for an entire half?

1st rd..linebacker...2nd rd..dl or cb..4th rd lb or dl..and the rest on cbs so the special teams has some speed..next offseason should be all about new coaching and defense

Hell no we don't need a lb in first round yet again.. we need a CB or DL first pick period.

Our defense lacks talent, plain and simple. We have 3rd string Lbers, 2 3rd round rookie DTs and one starting caliber CB. Safeties are just average in coverage. On the other hand the offense is loaded with talent and high draft picks. The offense is going to have to carry this team until the defense gets some playmakers healthy, acquired, or drafted.

Offense and defense both played like crap in the second half. Defense was worse and was abused by the Lions from the second qtr on, but offense has nothing to brag about either. Three turnovers by detroit in the first half, and only 10 points to show for them. One td, and mostly 3 and outs until the middle of the fourth qtr. Two second half turnovers as well.

Special teams play was improved today at least.

How the hell does the offense suck when they put up 35 pugging points. If ur teams defense would show up maybe 24 could be a nice winnable number.

I've said this from the beginning of the season. The Panthers fugging defense SUCKS..

Last Sunday when the offense wasn't on their game, the damn defense gave up 30 fugging points easily and many of u were claiming that the defense played good that day...Like giving up 30 points has become the norm with some of u. But since the offense is back, it's back to giving scores away for ur defense.

I knew when I saw the score was 24-14 that it wasn't going to be a winning number like most teams because this is the Panthers.

Are u guys sure this Panthers defense aren't being paid off...There is no excuse for how bad they are. U can't blame an offense that put up fugging 35 points. That would be more than enough for any team with a decent defense to win a game....BUT not the Panthers. Sickening.

I'm not a Rivera hater, but I'm seriously questioning his coaching after last week's and this week's debacles. The guy just seems like he doesn't know how to coach, plain and simple. Very stoic on the sidelines. I want to see him fired up!!! dammit.

Kinda reminds me of watching Tommy Bowden on the sidelines.

Glad he threw that pick so we don't have to here about Cam's stat line and "moral victories" all week.

Cam has regressed. The coaching staff is complacent enough to not fix it.

Cam hasn't regressed. This kid is asked to do way more than any of the other QBs on the other team. U fugging folks who feel it's this kid's job to saving this fugging mess of a team is in denial. Dalton threw 3 int...Ponder threw 3 int and their teams are way better than this team. The only rookie QB who didn't throw an int is Blaine because he's barely throwing the damn ball.

Maybe if the rest of the team would step up their game Cam wouldn't have to feel it's up to him to win a game and throw balls like a fugging mad man.
