So you're pretty much putting this on the coaching staff for not properly teaching Cam the basics or putting him in the best position to win?

Mostly. But I'm not sure how much of a choice they have. I didn't see Cam being very good at taking snaps from under center. Chud's definitely stuck on Air Coryell, and I'm not sure if that's because that's the kind of offense he wants or if it's because he believes it's what was going to make Cam Newton transition easier.

If that's the kind of offense he wants, then I think he made a mistake to start Newton. He could have let him sit on the bench, learn, and start him when he's ready to take over.

If they were hell bent on throwing the season away just to train a rookie QB when the same thing could have been accomplished in practice than they can go to hell. And this better be the last year we try this stupid ass idea.

I think that it would be foolish to ignore the next 7 games. Let's have this debate after the season is over.

It's funny how the word "intelligent" is never strongly applied to QBs like Cam, Vick and McNabb. And when it's done, it's met with an attitude of surprise by the writer. Very interesting.
