Breaking News: Cutler doesn't want to be traded.

Sheesh :frown2:

So first, he requests a trade because his QB coach was let go.

Then news breaks that an attempt was made to trade him, and he gets all huffy and indignant that the team would even consider such a thing

Eventually, after multiple failures to respond to the team in a mature manner, he finally gets his original wish and the team decides to trade him.

In response, all of a sudden now it's "I don't want to be traded. How did it get like this?" :sosp:

At this point, Cutler has either got to be a world class drama queen or a colossal dunce on the IQ level of Michael Vick.

I've previously leaned toward option one, and it's still a good choice. But I do have to admit, given that his agent is (someone please throw this guy under a) Bus Cook, option two is a definite possibility.

good read:

"It is clear that in that final meeting, McDaniels reiterated to Cutler that he could be traded like any player on the Denver roster at any point in the future if the coach felt it made the Broncos a better team. My question is: Why say that in a meeting to patch things up? Why say that at all?"

This isn't behavior in line with bipolar disorder.
it depends on his reaction when he was talking about it.

anyway, the reason i was thinking it had more to do with how he has reacted in different situations. very moody if nothing else. bipolar would explain a lot.

Did someone get a whiff of suiting up in honalulu blue and leading a 0-16 team out on the field next season? Damn no wonder hes back tracking.

That's actually quite plausible.

I also wonder if Bus Cook hasn't been telling him that the team would pony up huge rather than trade him, and now that a trade appears to actually be possible he's having to backpedal.

I have a lot of experience with bipolar, and it seems to me that he's just irrational and short-sighted.

i've worked incredibly closely with bipolar people for a couple years. was a house parent at a children's home and had quite a few living with us. i got to see it all. spent many hours of many long days and nights dealing with it. he's got a lot of passive aggressive traits as well that i have seen. could just be that he's emo.

So in other words: I just wanted to whine and bitch and get a new contract.

I think we have BINGO.

The guy is acting similar to Favre last year. I WANNA BE ASSURED I WILL BE THE GUY. I DON'T WANT OUT. I LOVE IT HERE. I WANT TO BE HERE. MEAN BAD STUPID TEAM DOESN'T WANT ME HERE! More people have commented about how Bus seems to be a common thread in all this.
