Should Tebow success get under Cam's skin

Is it really so hard to admit that Cam is 1 of the best rookie QBs ever?

For a small few yes it is. Pride is a powerful emotion. And this is definitely an emotional fanbase. The glory he receives hurts their feelings. ;) They will cling to and ride with any QB but our own to protect that pride.

Nope, if anything Cam's success should get under The Golden Calf of Bristol's skin.

again, i dont think so here. The Golden Calf of Bristol should worry about The Golden Calf of Bristol and Cam should worry about Cam, not Cam letting The Golden Calf of Bristol's success get under his skin or vise versa.

Has anyone here considered the possibility that The Golden Calf of Bristol is better than Cam? A lot better? What evidence is there to make people believe The Golden Calf of Bristol ISN'T better than Cam? If The Golden Calf of Bristol had been on that Auburn team he would have been even better than Cam because that team was built to suit a running QB. The whole reason Florida let Cam go in the first place was because Cam was not a good enough passer to fit in Florida's pass heavy offense. Honestly.. you guys should be very very respectful and thankful of The Golden Calf of Bristol..

Wow, that was a long novel, now let me first say that i think Newton did learn from The Golden Calf of Bristol and i respect him, with that said, i doubt he would've been better than Cam at Auburn, the reason Newton left florida was 1) off the field issues and 2) he wanted to play. if Brantley did beat him out, then i wonder why because Brantley does NOT fit Meyer's system. Now as for The Golden Calf of Bristol being better than Cam. i think The Golden Calf of Bristol is a better runner than Cam. now note i didnt say he's faster because he's not, he's got more vision as a runner than Newton, BUT Newton is a better pocket passer. i think Newton is better than The Golden Calf of Bristol, but The Golden Calf of Bristol's team is better than ours.

Cam's success has most notably gotten under TheRealDeal, PFFL, and Sylvianlights skin. 3 dissenters (who all still dickride Matt Moore) compared to hundreds of thousands of supporters and believers on this board and in the real world. Only a tiny lunatic fringe of our fanbase doesnt like Newton.

These trolls are not part of our fanbase. I think they are more than likely Alabama or Oregon fans that hate Cam for embarrassing their teams.

Wow this thread got trolled
did you see it happening any differently? it's going to happen in every thread, esp. when it's about newton regardless of how well he does. and it will just keep happening without a whole lot being done to stop it.

people get banned and they are allowed to come back and keep making alt user names, even though it's not supposed to be allowed. it's good for business i guess. i can't think of another reason why this crap keeps on happening.

discussion is good, but the constant trolling is just annoying.

First off their isnt any facts to support this, but if I was Cam it would bother me. The Golden Calf of Bristol has been putting up horrible stats and yet keeps winning somehow.(well he has had onside kicks and defense scores to help him). Meanwhile Cam has been playing better then any rookie qb ever and not getting the wins. He says many times he doesnt care about stats just wins. Cam couldnt get the starting job from The Golden Calf of Bristol in Fl and now he is still in the shadow with the media.

Well I doubt this affects Cam becuase he is the professional and im just a rabid fan. It still bothers me that The Golden Calf of Bristol won agaisnt the jets with a 9-20 completions! Plus he won a couple weeks ago completing 2 passes. I hate to say it but its the team letting Cam down, Hopefully next year the other phases of the team will play at Cam's level. wewe

Why would it bother you?

PS: You have no idea just how good a job this HC and DC is doing with this defense considering their losses. None. You only see what everyone else sees on TV. You have your eyes on the offense and when they do something good you praise them. When our defense gets on the field you are like everyone else: all you notice is when they do bad things. That's ok, it's normal. But yes, your eyes are fooling you just like most fans who watch football. That's what numbers are for. To tell you the real story.

Yes numbers do tell the story.

Carolina Defense:

Yards given up per drive: 30th

Punts forced per drive: 28th

Points given up per drive: 32nd

TDs allowed per drive: 30th

TOs given/forced per drive: 26th

Interceptions per drive: 26th

Fumbles recovered per drive: 14th

Staring field position for defense: 18th (so they haven't had unusually bad field position like you suggest. Just slightly below average so that argument doesn't work)

Drive Success Rate (three and outs): 29th

And lastly the website PFFL himself described as:

the biggest, most credible and best advanced statistics football site on the internet. They actually do happen to rank actual true total offense and defense efficiency(even turnover margin adjusted as well as schedule) and they do it weekly. This takes into consideration everything. Including schedule.

Has our offense ranked 8th and our defense ranked 31st.

http://www.advancednflstats.com/2011/11/team-rankings-week-eleven.html

But that was when he was looking at the wrong year that had our defense at 7 and our offense at 27th.

Once he figured out it was the wrong year he decided it was no longer credible.
