Jason Campbell anyone?

I'm 37 and I played D2, I know a little something about football so feel free to stop condescending to me any time now....

Here's what I understand: Jake is old and has a surgically repaired arm. At the end of the day QB is the most important position on any team. If the Redskins are actually dumb enough to give up Campbell for a 2nd round pick I say we jump all over that.

Use that mad face all you want, but you were the one calling someone a money for their opinion on something. I just decided to join in and play the game too. Manwithcake said monkeys out in general, he didn't direct it towards any one person, but you did.

I also understand that Jake is old and has a surgically repaired arm. His age will become a problem and we need to eventually find a replacement. Jake can still play for a few more years though and I like Matt Moore as his replacement. If we do go out and find someone else, I most definitely would not want Cutler and I don't want to give up our 2nd round pick for Campbell either. The arm proved not to be a problem. For all we know, his arm might even be BETTER next year.

As a resident of the DC area who has not only seen Campbell play for the last few years, but has also heard how he has been received in the local media, allow me to say "NO!" The Redskins are trying to trade away their "promising" young quarterback for a reason. They're pretty much saying, we're willing to restructure our whole offense if it gets us a better quarterback. Cutler does not fit Zorn's quick-strike short passing attack. Campbell is perfect in that system, and the skins still want to get rid of him. That's pretty telling.

Campbell isn't particularly good, and he hasn't been well received in the DC area. In fact, the media here was pretty sure Campbell was on his way out. I wouldn't take him for a 7th round pick.

I hear Ryan Leaf is on waivers too. Why don't we see what Namath is doing. Hey, I got an idea, let's release Jake and bring back Weinke. GIVE ME A F*CKING BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!! Jason Campbell......really?!!!

Jason Campbell for the 59th pick..thats more worthy discussion than anything else on here right now

Thank you, someone who actually seen him play regularly. I have to agree with you. I have a roommate who's a Redskins fan, so I had to watch them play quite a bit this season (probably not as much as you), and I just don't see it. Guys, Jason Campbell is not the answer.

must be fun being a Skins fan in the off season, they always make big moves

the skins are my second favorite team(originally from VA, but lived in NC most of my life), so I keep tabs on what they do and cheer for them whenever they aren't playing the Panthers, and so far I've been kinda shaking my head at they're entire offseason, I haven't liked a single move they made, I think they way over paid for fat Albert and Hall, and now they're trying to trade Campbell? yeah big moves in a offseason are great.

I'm not a huge Jason Campbell fan. Even though he's got some great players around him, Santana Moss, Antoine Rand El, Chris Cooley, Cliton Ports, and many opportunities to show flashes of playmaking, true grit, or outstanding leadership, he simply hasn't done it.

Upside has value for maybe 2 years in the NFL. After that, you're an underacheiver. I feel the same way about Dwayne Jarett. At some point there is no more upside, you either make plays or you don't. If your backbone isn't pushing your team forward, then your dead weight is being pulled by your team.

Teams don't need to move from one maybe QB to another maybe QB. They need to KNOW they've got a leader and playmaker they can count on.

Having said that, Campbell would be a STEAL for a 2nd round pick. He is clearly better than McClown, and there could be some inspiring competition betwen Delhomme, Campbell, and Moore. I'd like to see it.

I agree with Doc Holiday, and am a fan for the same reason. The Redskins have made tragic offseason moves for several years now. The owner needs to sit down and shut the fnck up, and let someone else do what he shouldn't try doing.

they suck...but at least they are always moving, right?

many of the skins fans i know are tired of all the movements they do. they are sick of snyder and largely consider him a joke and an embarrassment.

Honestly I do not beleive we need to go out and waste picks on a qb unless we get multiples for JP. Jake may not be great, he may be overrarted, but he knows our offense and fits our system.

Now if you take a look a cutler..he does not fit our system..He has always been a part of a pass first offense. Go take a look at it. Will he fit Mcdaniels system?? Who knows. Apperently the Broncos do not want to find out. Jason Campbell has not played in the same system for more than two years and has done decent in everyone. I do not think he could start for us day one. But he could be a quality backup with starter potential.

Say what u want about Jake. Unless Brett Farve comes out of retirement again, The Dolphins release Chad Pennignton, Or the Browns cut Quinn/Anderson... I do not see a point in replacing him this year
