Jason Campbell anyone?

By the way, someone that thinks that trading just a second-rounder for Campbell is a bad deal should be banned from the Huddle for stupidity.

That is your opinion. I think that anyone who thinks that Jake is a terrible QB and that we just HAVE TO have someone else even though there really aren't any obvious solutions should be banned from the Huddle for stupidity. See how that works? People can have their own opinions without being stupid.

Forget Quinn, Campbell would be a good back up to Delhomme until Delhomme is done. Campbell is a bomber as well and far more accurate bomber than Delhomme. He isnt a west coast offense guy anyway. Hope it was us that was in the offer.
I actually like the Jason Campbell Idea better then Cutler, he's had a new OC every year since he started to play College ball, I would like to see what he could do in a system that he spend more then one offseason working in. but still QB is not a priority for us and I doubt it will happen. But I do like it better then Cutler, no attitued questions and no medical concerns, and considering all the systems he's had to work with and still ended up being pretty decent I'd say that he's pretty smart too.

Guys, the Skins are looking to send him to Denver in some sort of deal involving Cutler. I wouldn't get your hopes up on either one of them.

agree on the first part, but if we applied your logic to you, you would have been banned ages ago, please think before you speak more often.

With the running game that we have, we don't need a stud QB. All we need is someone that can manage the game and do it without turning over the ball. Sometimes, Jake can do it, sometimes he can't... but the fact is that he's getting older, there's no denying it.

Of course, there are a ton of people on here who think Matt Moore is the clear heir-apparent due to what he did in '07. Of course, none of these people want to recognize that he was going against teams that had pretty much already locked their playoff spots and had nothing to really play for (seems like the only people that want to admit that about those games are the DeAngelo naysayers who don't think what he did in those games was impressive, but that's another topic entirely). Fast forward to last years pre-season and I think he looked like garbage. Could he be our next QB? Sure. But for a 2nd round pick (especially if we pick up another 2nd or two for Pep on draft day), I think Campbell could just as easily be a part of the FO's thought process. Yeah, he's not the best QB in the world, but at least he has real game experience.

Yea he has kept a level head through it all too, I would think it to be really frustrating to have a career like he as had so far with all the change.

Actually the only team that he played against that didn't have their starters in was the Bucs in the last game of the season if I remember correctly. The Cowboys already had a playoff spot but were trying to get home field advantage and were playing their starters and Moore did a good job in that game just like the other games he played.

You guys are amazing. You don't want Cutler but do want Campbell. HUH?

I'm not huge on either really, but I would much rather have Campbell than Cutler. First of all, i think Cutler is overrated and second of all I think he is a crybaby who needs to grow up. I think Campbell is mature.

now I have been very vocal about not wanting Cutler, one reason being I don't think he would be a good fit here in general for various reasons including attitude, medical and leadership questions, yeah he has the better arm but compared to Campbell that's it, now I will also say that I doubt we will go after either because Jake is good enough for now and we have serious needs on the DL, but if we were to go after one I'd rather have Campbell.

I'd definitely take Campbell before I'd take Cutler.

For a second rounder? Any other year, probably; though I'd try to talk them down to a third.

With all that said, in a year when we have bigger needs than QB, no first round pick and only five picks overall, definitely no.

    • they have the best defense they've had in a long time...probably the best in the reid/mahommes era.  but i think they are probably the most beatable they've been in a while as well. record doesn't exactly bear that out, but they just don't look as strong on offense as they usually do. lots of reasons for that, like trying to build chemistry with newer receivers, but right now they just aren't as frightening as they typically are. i mean they'll probably win tomorrow, but i don't see them as the strongest team in the AFC right now.
    • He will likely remain unsigned the remainder of this season(barring someone being in a pure QB panic AND making poor decisions) largely due to the cost. I do think he will get multiple offers to be a backup QB and perhaps a couple to potentially start this offseason.  I will continue to beat the same horse over and over.....he should go to a successful team with an established starter. If I were him, go to somewhere like SF, LAR, etc. Somewhere with a successful QB coach and brilliant offensive mind and ALSO a set situation at QB. Ride the pine and adjust for a year or two. Chill and be around better culture. I would suggest the same for Bryce but he will be limited to wherever we can trade him.
    • I dont think the clock has started yet on canales.  Once he gets his guy then the pressure starts.  WFNZ/mike kaye said  yesterday that he thinks there are 4 options here regardless of bryces status, Geno, Fields, Wilson maybe Jones.
