I’ve seen Jones make throws Bryce could never dream of making. On the flip side I’ve seen Jones also make mistakes Bryce has never made. I think Jones might be available for a few weeks waiting for the right opportunity, but being the backup to Bryce with a shot to win the job next season is probably his best chance at another starting job, and in his home town. It’s a low risk move honestly, and he could replace Dalton as he backup. Shouldn’t stop the Panthers from drafting someone in the offseason though, even if they signed him. -

YPG/total yards is a terrible statistic for this argument. This "4th ranked defense" gave up the 4th most points last year. Remember when Rhule and Snow had the "2nd ranked defense" in 2021? It's the exact same situation and circumstance with respect to this statistic and Evero but folks weren't making comments about 'running with a narrative' at that time.
