Jason Campbell anyone?

Forget Quinn, Campbell would be a good back up to Delhomme until Delhomme is done. Campbell is a bomber as well and far more accurate bomber than Delhomme. He isnt a west coast offense guy anyway. Hope it was us that was in the offer.

He was last year, they ran a run heavy version of the WCO in Washington with Zorn. It was Saunders before that, that allowed Campbell to throw deep a lot. Also consider that he's never averaged over 6.5 yards per completion, he does have a good arm. His weakness are close to what most of you consider Delhomme's weaknesses. Decision making.....

I'm not trying to hate on anyone's opinion about campbell..but personally i haven't seen anything from him that would make me think that he is a upgrade over Jake, beside that fact that hes younger. so would someone please elaborate on why he would be such an upgrade?

Right..and he flourished well in it didnt he.. Its not his style. When he was at Auburn they ran an offense like the Panthers. I think its a perfect fit for him here and people dont get their panties in a wad I think he should back up Delhomme until hes gone (in the next 2 years).

I don't see how Jason Campbell is an upgrade than, like stated before, his age. I don't see what some of you guys see in him.

Wtf? The guy is 27 years old! Plus, he has been steadily improving each year. He has plenty of upside. Gimme a break.

More accurate downfield.. a bit more mobile to create opportunities, young. Thats enough for me.

Campbell might not be the answer but he would be an upgrade over McCown. I could see trying to pick him up but only if we get some more picks. He would actually do much better in our system than in Washington. He would be worth a 3rd. I could surely see us going that way before we mortgage the farm on Cutler. Guess whose completion percentage tied Cutler for 14th on the list. Thats right, Campbell. His passer rating was only 2 points below Cutler also. So if Campbell is worth only a second, then clearly Cutler has to be worth 2 1sts and a starter like Campbell.

Yeah right!!

i agree. nothing against campbell but i dont see him bein a big enough upgrade for us to give up draft picks for him unless we got some more picks and it would have to be a third at the most. personally i think instead of all the threads about trading for all these diff QBs we should be starting threads about giving matt moore a shot at the starting spot. maybe having a open QB competition in training camp?

    • been living in town since March of last year after spending 15+ years out on a farm in the middle of nowhere.  Snow was beautiful out there, but always meant a lot of work dealing with the long driveway and long dirt road out and onto paved roads that were the last in the county to get plowed. On normal days it always took 20 minutes to get anywhere. when it snowed...yeah. forget about it for a couple days. still had to go to work, so i'd have to drive on all these narrow and windy snow covered backroads after dealing with my driveway and putting up with the nasty red mud slush on the dirt road. if there was an emergency or some kind of urgent issue that required you having someone drive in or going out, it was just a major stressor.  anyways, i'm just looking forward to snow in the new house in town, where my driveway is really short and the roads are plowed. i want snow that requires no work or stress on me. most people probably love the idea of being snowed in out in the country. been there. done that. i'm looking forward to snow coming in town and being able to get out and about if i need. hopefully we have some this year.
    • I don't think it will be a complete stomping at all. That's not really the 2024 KC team. They have only scored 30 points once this season(shootout versus TB) and their biggest margin of victory has been 13(vs. the Saints). I guess they clearly show better versus the NFC South but not THAT good. Not by their recent years standard.
