I hadn't seen anything about that until I just googled it... hmmm...

My wife got her iPhone as I had previously mentioned... she's having to warranty it back to them.

It won't turn off, it will only reboot and the media volume only works about half the time... it cuts out randomly. The Verizon reps said the power thing is a known issue, but they are just starting to get reports of this media volume issue.

Needless to say she is pissed off about it... I told her to get the HTC Rezound, but nooooo...

I was really waiting for this phone to come out, but now that it has I think I've decided to go with the Razr...just not seeing anything that I'd use that would put this one over the hump. Software and OS are irrelevant.

FWIW the Razr is supposed to get ICS next year. I love the razr, great phone.

  • 3 weeks later...

Motorola is supposed to be coming out with the Razr Max, which has an extended battery. It makes the phone a tad thicker (8.4mm). I'm happy with my (completely stock) Razr so far.

got mine in the mail today, battery drained from 40% to dead pretty damn quick, but I've read the phone needs to go through a few cycles before you see it's "true" battery life. Gonna use it like crazy tomorrow to see how long it lasts, then rinse and repeat till hopefully it gets through its charging cycles. If the life doesn't seem to be acceptable for my moderate daily use (once the new toy feeling wears off of course), then I'll exchange it for a RZR or Rezound....

Glad this got bumped... Love this Rezound. I bought the extended battery from Verizon because it was on sale... Best thing I could've done. It lasts 16+ hours with heavy use. I keep 4G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth on all day and it still lasts 16 or more hours.

Very happy with the phone in general too.

Had ours for 2 months now and love it just as much as Day 1 - very underrated phone. Good to know about the battery too. We thought about picking it up but weren't sure of the difference, but if it lasts that long with all of the goodies turned on that's a really big improvement. Would've been nice for that battery to be the stock one in the first place, but that's a different discussion :D
