I attended races there for over 10 years until the dates were scavenged by Smith and Bahre. It was all a Nascar race should be. When they closed the track, I lost most of my enthusiasm for racing.

GREAT track. You had to walk through the Zoo (i.e., infield) to get to some of the garage area. Last race I worked there, I had a drunk race fan kneel down and propose to me for my hardcard id, and it was the day that Lorena Bobbitt did her deed on her hubby's chubby...no lie...

Everyone was talking about her all day, and offering to get me a wedding gift.

Meanwhile, check the attendance at the tracks that took races from Wolkesboro and Rockingham. Lots of empty seats.
